20/5/2020 11:01 | Immersive VR Education @vreducation Following on from the success of #V2EC2020, we're delighted to announce that we have agreed an investment deal with @htcvive which will further develop and enhance the ENGAGE platform. | hazl
20/5/2020 10:49 | Outlook is always the thing to centre on. | hazl
20/5/2020 09:25 | The world is changing and we no longer have to chase all over the world for meetings. VRE and many other companies have now made it perfectly acceptable and actually enjoyable to hold meetings from their own houses. Life will return to normal eventually but not the normal we have been used to. The direction has changed slightly. VRE are certainly near, if not at the front of this technology. As I said earlier, it is about the forward messages in the results that will be the most important. | dubois
20/5/2020 09:07 | Dubois they are hiring too! I like the way this is worded.... 'We're hiring! Due to continued growth and success we now have an opening for an experienced DevOps Engineer, with 3+ years industry experience, to join our dedicated team in Waterford.' | hazl
20/5/2020 09:03 | Don't forget EVRH,too in the same space. | hazl
20/5/2020 09:02 | Short lived drop but at least allowed for a top up at good price. Results next month. It will all be about what the future looks like going forward. They did say the telephone hadn't stopped ringing, so hopefully some nice little deals have been lined up. | dubois
20/5/2020 08:54 | Everyone will want to be in this space. Cambridge Uni just announced all lectures will be virtual for next academic year until summer 2021. Others will follow. Intraday share price already up more than 20% and it's not even 9am! | clive10
20/5/2020 08:27 | can sell 100000 cant buy any!! | spursspurs
20/5/2020 08:20 | Indeed bones. Good post. | hazl
20/5/2020 08:19 | Hmm....perhaps an opportunity? | hazl
20/5/2020 08:12 | The subscription price is almost irrelevant here as HTC is a whopper of a company in Asia and China. The only comparison I think worth making here is last year’s subscription by Linde AG (German giant company) into ITM Power at 41p. ITM has since 5 bagged. That is mostly because the 20% investment not only secured future investment but was a total validation of the product/R&D and says that the investee has something valuable that the big investor would like to get itself a slice of. HTC have no doubt got themselves a bottom of the market price (given when negotiations started in March) which will no doubt sag the price for a while but I don’t see it staying that way for too long. | bones
20/5/2020 08:04 | 'Proceeds of the Subscription will be used to further develop and enhance the Company's ENGAGE platform and build its sales and marketing capability, as well as the production of additional showcase experiences to support the uptake of the ENGAGE platform; -- Further to the announcement of 19 March 2020, HTC Corporation and the Company are entering into a strategic partnership for the distribution and license of the Company's ENGAGE platform globally through HTC enterprise sales channels. The terms of a distribution and license agreement have been agreed and will take effect in advance of completion of the Subscription; ' | hazl
20/5/2020 08:03 | 'In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is set to catalyse long-term changes in working practices, VRE and HTC's combined offering provides a complete end-to-end service to alleviate the challenges posed by reduced travel due to health and climate change concerns. We look forward to this next stage of our development and continuing to work alongside HTC as a strategic partner and shareholder to provide these solutions for customers." | hazl
20/5/2020 07:59 | ....and that was 10% premium at the time of discussion kreature.... perhaps the market woke up to the value here! | hazl
20/5/2020 07:58 | Alvin W. Graylin, HTC China President, said: "Earlier this year, we saw first-hand the kind of value we can deliver through ENGAGE by successfully hosting our annual VIVE Ecosystem Conference entirely in virtual reality. With the ongoing global pandemic, we recognise that now, more than ever, it is important to invest in and expand accessibility to XR technologies that enable human connection and maintain presence when we are all physically apart. Through this partnership, we believe we can offer an important service to large groups of people to learn, share and collaborate with their peers around the world." David Whelan, CEO of VR Education, said: "We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with HTC as demonstrated by its subscription for new shares announced today. The Subscription will provide additional funding for the next stage of our development and allow us to progress the capabilities and commercialisation of our core ENGAGE platform at a time when industries across the globe are adapting to new and innovative ways of working. | hazl
20/5/2020 07:48 | I can see HTC taking these over at premium in the future. | dubois
20/5/2020 07:17 | Major investment you do not invest £3 million in today’s climate unless you think this has a substantial future share re rates are on the cards | jammytass
20/5/2020 07:06 | ah. 48,284,102 Subscription Shares to be issued at an Issue Price of 5.47 pence per Subscription Share | kreature
19/5/2020 19:13 | hazl - I was, of course, referring to the good old days, when humans were in control, Peculiar price movements are too regular now, and can often be put down to algos. The fun has gone ! | corrientes
19/5/2020 11:20 | I think the chart here is looking quite good though. Hope the recent collaborations are looking good that VRE has made and that they are contributing to the balance sheet! | hazl
19/5/2020 10:56 | Actually corrientes I haven't heard the story you refer to, but I think you are more in danger from algorithms and HFT 's myself. Do you realise what the average trade time is? 8 seconds apparently! | hazl
19/5/2020 09:46 | It's the leprechauns that do it corrientes! | hazl
19/5/2020 09:09 | You can tell it wants to go up. I don't know about nowadays, but quite a few years ago Irish companies, particularly in mining, had a habit of attracting a group of investors, who'd push the share price up to unsustainable levels. I can't imagine that applies to this type of company. | corrientes |
