'Dave Whelan, chief executive and founder of VRE, says his phones have been ringing off the hook since coronavirus restrictions were imposed, with the company employing additional business development staff to handle the extra workload.

Two weeks ago, it ran a virtual conference for Taiwanese electronics group HTC.

The Hyve conference is normally an event with physical attendees, but as it was due to be held in China HTC asked VRE if it could host the event virtually.'

'David Whelan, CEO of VR Education, said: "With an acceleration in revenue growth from the Group's experiences and with the release of new consumer-focused XR (encompassing virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality) standalone devices such as the Oculus Quest and HTC Vive Focus this year, VRE is now starting to see increased traction of its ENGAGE platform in the US and Asia.

We have always had a global outlook for our products and the technology they run-on, and with Brexit uncertainty we have concluded that our success in US and Asian markets will receive greater focus than the UK market. We are already receiving an increasing number of requests from American and Asian corporate customers to work with them to produce content for VR training programmes. Indeed, we are both focused and geared-up to aim for this marketplace.

In May 2019, the Group signed a revenue share agreement with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, one of the top aviation and aerospace museums in the USA and this has generated significant monthly revenue starting late Q2 2019. The Group's outlook is positive as it seeks to grow the ENGAGE platform revenues while reducing its reliance on showcase experiences in the future.”

I wonder if VRE could tweak the system and set up and easy way to let teachers and vr innovators have virtual meeting to discuss,technicalities,ideas and general feedback
like the 'zoom' effect.
I'm sure it would be easy and perhaps invaluable?

Certainly sounds more secure.

Corrientes...I didn't mean that you are ill-informed...apologies if that post sounded like it.
I wouldn't consider myself an out and out techie.
I just admire new tech and am intrigued by anything innovative and exciting.
There ae always two sides to every story quite right.

There are always two sides to every story, and that includes what this company is trying to do, technically able as it is. I fully appreciate that you know far more about this company than I will ever do, since it is not in a sector I would normally invest in. I've always liked to invest in specs, and I like the idea here.

However,being a bit cynical about most things financial, that view has served me fairly well over the years, and has prepared me to always anticipate a possible cliff edge, should the blue sky falls in.

Having said that, its an ill wind that doesn't blow somebody some good, and I can definitely see some plusses here, and comments from colleagues who are in education give me a bit of confidence as well.
