30/10/2020 17:16 | What percentage did anyone get on Primary Bid ? | nico115
30/10/2020 10:25 | Fair enough boadicea and no doubt post the deal (deals), the 47p difference will be inconsequential..... | jaf111
30/10/2020 10:06 | JAF - It may be easier, and certainly quicker, than doing a B&B if you want them in an ISA. | boadicea
30/10/2020 09:23 | understand your point zangdook....i've not used them before either but know people who have. A little strange that people are buying @1397p in the market (5 small trades reported) rather than using the primarybid @ 1350p! | jaf111
30/10/2020 08:36 | I haven't come across primarybid.com before. Tbh I'd prefer a regular offer I can subscribe to through my broker and in my ISA, rather than having to set up yet another online account. I can see the appeal for the company - get it done in a day - I hope this way works out cheaper for them too. | zangdook
30/10/2020 08:10 | I guess they must have a target acquisition in their sights. Could be a good one if it needs this much cash. | longshanks
30/10/2020 07:58 | I would certainly expect the offer to be well received and be fully subscribed pretty quickly..... | jaf111
30/10/2020 07:57 | Galles - I believe not....existing as well as new PIs can purchase as many as they like on Primary Bid... | jaf111
30/10/2020 07:54 | Agree, must have a distressed target in place. Is the take up linked to the amount of shares each PI own? | galles
30/10/2020 07:25 | Announcement should be very well received.....the record of the Landers is truly outstanding so I would expect a sharp move up sooner rather than later.... | jaf111
30/10/2020 07:16 | Wake up everyone :o)) £10m placing at 1350p....impressivel Summarised by: "The Directors believe the current business environment will lead to an increase in distressed and turnaround opportunities available to the Group, specifically due to the impact of Covid-19 and Brexit in the UK." That would give VLE £26m+ of cash firepower. The Landers must have some decent-sized targets in mind. | rivaldo
08/10/2020 06:52 | Guessing, but I suspect they're happy to buy at below NAV (1326p at 30th June) | cockerhoop
08/10/2020 06:09 | Quite happy with the buyback process, so much spare cash and if the share price falls then it can be easily supported by the buy back as volume is often very low. Should keep things going along smoothly until we have full year results when I would hope we can see a bit more momentum. | jamessmith23
08/10/2020 06:04 | Another buyback - this time £33,000's worth at 1312p: | rivaldo
30/9/2020 09:11 | 1290p is justifiable to buy back at given that it was the price of the last tender offer. | zoolook
30/9/2020 08:26 | A £6k buyback is OK in an extremely illiquid stock like this. It'll be interesting to see if there are more at rising prices. It's as much about the signal it sends as the actual amounts involved. | rivaldo
30/9/2020 08:07 | Imagine it could be price based in the secondary market, maybe sub 1300 is buy back for now and it could increase over time. | jamessmith23
30/9/2020 07:24 | An EXTREMELY modest buyback though....just 500 shares! | jaf111
30/9/2020 06:56 | RNS - good to see VLE restarting the buybacks as I hoped, buying back shares at 1290p yesterday: | rivaldo
30/9/2020 06:35 | Cheers Rivaldo.I remember thinking the NAV wasn't truly reflective and now that makes sense as to why. Difficult to place a value on these things, but can certainly say it is higher than 0! | jamessmith23
29/9/2020 10:12 | Nice bounce now. JamesSmith23, there are no intangibles re Shire as Shire cost a ridiculously low £0.5m, which was less than the value of its assets let alone the value of its business, so there was no goodwill. I have no doubt the Landers will sort out Indulgence as they have every other business they've acquired for VLE. COVID may have exacerbated its initial losses, but may accelerate the necessary restructuring. And VLE will have good contacts with major retailers via the success of Shire Foods, so the new products launching next year should therefore make good inroads. | rivaldo
29/9/2020 07:26 | Jonathan Lander @JonathanELander Volvere #VLE interims out this morning. Pies outperformed desserts again. No surprises except perhaps #NaughtyVegan launches! [...] . Comfort food for Brexit and Covid-19 stress. Keep well! | glawsiain
29/9/2020 07:21 | EezyMunny8 Sep '20 - 16:48 - 3404 of 3412 Not hard to imagine H1 will be loss-making. Shire doesn´t make much if anything in H1 and Indulgence probably loss-making (?) while they sort it out. We have those holding co overheads as well of course. I´m mildly optimistic that the uneducati will hate the H1 results. Great call as always EezyMunny!! | cockerhoop
29/9/2020 07:17 | Used this dip to pick up 200 at 1220 and 1250, was expecting a dip maybe to the NAV but not this far, and the spread at 1 point was 1200-1220 so would have been rude not to.Will have to wait and see what it's like as a long term hold. Quick question, I don't see any intangible assets associated with Shire on the balance sheet, how does this work, surely there is some somewhere? | jamessmith23 |
