18/11/2024 12:52 | Yeah that's a good point. I guess the issue is they offered 76% over the market price and then got rejected. So you don't want to end up in a situation where you overpay for a company as it I quite a sizable acquisition. However Volex seems to be pretty good at these things so long term may work out as a shrewd move especially if interest rates trend down some more making debt cheaper | ltinvest
18/11/2024 12:10 | I wouldn't be so sure that withdrawing the TT interest is going to reset the share price. The market now knows this is the Volex gameplan and because, as other have noted, the UK market is generally impatient, sceptical and greedy for immediate payouts (one reason there are no tech giants here) then the discount will probably persist. Personally I would prefer them to succeed with the bid, work the same magic that's taken Volex up over 100% in last 5 years, and prove the market wrong. | ijamlon

18/11/2024 10:12 | Yeah was hoping for an RNS saying they were no longer interested. Is there a time limit now on further offers | ltinvest
18/11/2024 09:39 | The cash offer equates to circa £110m, may be missing something but where was that coming from? | disc0dave46
18/11/2024 09:37 | Best to wait for now in my view | johndoe23
18/11/2024 08:28 | LT The TTE deal or no deal creates uncertainty that markets do not like. Vlx shares are now in play for day traders and that will create undue volatility as rumour and counter rumour are spread around. I suspect the share price will remain subdued until clarity returns. red | redartbmud
18/11/2024 08:12 | Will the share price recover any time soon? Or are we waiting to hear about TT electronics. I'm assuming if deal is off will head back up and further offer will head back down. | ltinvest
16/11/2024 11:23 | For those who missed yesterday's presentation. | igoe104
16/11/2024 09:07 | I doubt he’s going to use his own cash to take VLX private. I think TT are seen as a bit of a basket case. I’m sure they know more than me, but I think it could be harder to turn them around than they think, and stretch the balance sheet. Of course if I was a long suffering TT shareholder I’d want tt them to engage, and reveal details of the other offer | dr biotech
16/11/2024 03:18 | Post 7246Didn't do much to help him with Bumi losses. He doesn't have a majority stake. Agree it shouldn't be an issue raising bank funds but not the point really. Will watch the presentation, thanks dean. | disc0dave46

15/11/2024 21:32 | Just had a quick Look at their cash flow and H2 last year cash burn was $18.4m. Cash at end of this H1 period is $18.4m. Was the cash burn last year down to Murat, if any?.Will their finance costs outturn at circa $25m this FY?, which is virtually the equivalent of H1 profit.Would never associate a business run by a Rothschild to have debt or cash flow issues!, but is it a concern to the market?. Possibly the reason behind today's share price action combined with the acquisition stretching their balance sheet too much?. | disc0dave46
15/11/2024 17:31 | s2 I do not believe that this is a one man band. Undubtedly Nat has a very big finger in the pie, but beneath him there are obviosly some very bright lieutenants who continue to make things happen as they should. If anything happened to Nat, it would undoubtedly impact the business in the short-term, but that is true of any substantial business. red | redartbmud
15/11/2024 17:22 | My thoughts were that Nat looked and sounded tired not surprised given the travel he does. There is a risk there. I am continuing to hold around £85k worth after -11% on the day. TTG's financial advisers are Rothschilds, only a coincidence. | s2lowner1
15/11/2024 16:39 | The timing of the possible takeover of TT Electronics which coincides with the results announcement has negatively impacted the share price. That is unfortunate, but should not detract from the excellent results and the progress made in the period. The company is sticking to the long-term script and is managing the strategy very well. Quite clearly, they are able to combine the risk reward ratios without negatively impacting the underlying business. Long may that continue. red | redartbmud
15/11/2024 16:34 | Agreed - a good presentation. Always impressed with the commitment to continuous improvement and developing longstanding customer relationships with customers like Tesla, Nvidia and Amazon. Get those two things right and you're most of the way there in terms of profit performance. | valhamos
15/11/2024 16:33 | Sounds decent enough. Nat thinks china could be big, having a strong US$ is beneficial. They are trying to engage more with their employees in Turkey where they have apparently been some issues. Nat backed Trump, his partner didn't.. | dr biotech
15/11/2024 16:30 | Excellent IM, great to hear about Long standing partnerships with Tesla, Amazon and Nvida. Also sounds like they have some possible incoming new customers from China, which are some of the biggest businesses in the world... | igoe104
15/11/2024 16:28 | Very positive Interim results presentation, answered questions with openness and clarity - left with feeling Volex is an excellent investment :-) | grahamhacker
15/11/2024 15:41 | s2 Stock Exchange and takeover rulws. They cannot comment. red | redartbmud |
