Not even sure that will be true. Import tariffs will probably destroy margins. I’m thinking of selling ahead of them.

These shares will benefit hugely from the Trump/Elon win tonight. DYOR.

Message was truncated, originally said that Volex has quietly become one of the global market leaders in very high speed short data cables - a market growing exponentially. If trend continues, VLX forecast numbers could look highly conservative.

Bought. Nibbling away at various beaten down shares.

No worse case scenario. All kinds of buying coming in out there.

Some nice opportunities for bounce backs now for the beaten down shares which are trading in line.

All imo

AIM stock maintain half their IHT exclusion. Better than expected

Neil Birrell, chief investment officer at Premier Miton, said: "IHT is very specific and there's no doubt there are a handful of relatively small private investors who are putting trades on. There's very little liquidity around and that is pushing share prices down (in AIM)". Hopefully, getting past today's budget and the investor presentation on 11th can give us a reset and turn people's minds to this being a cheap international growth company.

CGT has no impact on the underlying business. An opportunity to top up?

Last weeks rise pretty much gone then. Guess its an easier AIM share to sell as its more liquid than some others. Its financials are sound, guess we will just have to ride it out.

Treasury confirms to press that higher CGT rates on share sales are coming, Volex rises. Tells me that the CGT linked selling has largely already been anticipated and completed. A good overhang to remove. No reason now not to revisit the late August highs

VLX posted another impressive HY update confirming that strong momentum has been sustained through H1 and that FY expectations remained unchanged. H1 revenues were in excess of $510 million suggesting that the business remains well on track to top $1b revenues for the first time ever in FY24. Consensus has a $1,023m figure pencilled in with statutory profit set to grow close to 60% to $64m. Both these numbers are achievable, even beatable, and the business plainly continues to deliver robust topline and even more stellar bottom line growth. Management...

Little detail but good headlines. Let's see what the presentation brings. They remain a diversified growth machine at a very reasonable price. Will be tempting to add after budget.

Reassuring, but no upgrade to expectations, so fingers crossed it turns share price momentum round, but as others have mentioned, it may well not.

Decent enough, though whether it’ll move the dial I’m not sure. I think potential IHT changes are the key concern.

Resilient update with strong momentum in H1 continuing into H2. Full year expectations unchanged.

Your sentiment for sure is reflected in the market. I bought and quickly sold the other week thinking we'd bounce from 330p. My finger will be hovering over the buy button during the budget speech if AIM IHT relief is unchanged (not that I buy AIM shares because of this!)

The Treasury is not helping the market with the long suspense to the budget, the uncertainty about its contents and all the apparent last minute switching and backtracking on policies with major implications for investors and savers. Normally I would be buying VLX in the coming days ahead of its (imo) very likely results jump, but this time I feel we may need to get the worst of the budget nerves and fog out the way first.

Last year there was an earnings update on 25th October but the only thing I can find mentioned for this year is for 11th November. Anyone have better info than me?

The price/utility of batteries continues to improve as is usual for technology hardware.

The Russian-invasion-of-Ukraine inspired commodity bubble that temporarily pushed lithium prices into the stratosphere won’t change that trend.

It’s good to see petrol continue to trend downwards - perhaps they break below 50%, on a monthly, basis this year.
