15/12/2014 22:46 | Terry seems to becoming quite the public figure, made it onto more ADVFN boards than any other CEO plus an outing in this weekends Sunday Times :) EDIT Whoops! Wrong thread, sorry! | jbarker5555

11/12/2014 20:39 | As long as he's not on a privately chartered plane to Brazil sat next to Rob Terry I don't see much to get worried about. | she-ra

11/12/2014 08:56 | Moi? Have a punt? How dare you... Let's just say it has become a long term investment... ;-) | imastu pidgitaswell

11/12/2014 08:49 | And, albeit as an illiterate, I would just add that in the quote, they are talking about 'starting to see' etc. A long way to go. | imastu pidgitaswell
11/12/2014 08:41 | Thanks for the reasoned comments, imastu. I appreciate your thoughts. tipjunkie: I'll answer for others, if I may. Yes, I think we can all read. The problem is we have been reading the same self-serving positive statements for years now, only to have our hopes dashed at results time. | ferrism
11/12/2014 08:34 | can you not read?? As noted at our interim results we are starting to see the commercial and financial benefits from the Volex Transformation Plan. Our focus on working more closely with our customers delivered strong growth in sales and improved margins in the first half." | tipjunkie
11/12/2014 08:27 | Could be anything and/or nothing. Certainly the external financing requirements are well and truly put to bed, now it's just a case of farming - making the plan happen. A lot of deal-making finance types don't take to that sort of thing, as it requires attention to detail and a mindset quite different to that of a strategic dealmaker. To be honest, I didn't think his CV was particularly suited to Volex at the time of his appointment anyway - I can see the CEO bringing in a more conventional FD anyway. The shame is the one they had when I first got into this was (it seemed) a 'solid' FD of the type they could do with, but he got the boot first. If you looked at it negatively (as we do with this bloody share) you could wonder if it presages bad news, or they're getting rid of him as his skillset isn't what is needed for the foreseeable future. Who knows, but I think just that it will be a long route back to the margins they are seeking, and quite a boring journey - it's probably that he just sees a better opportunity elsewhere. Ultimately, he is only the finance guy, he's not the one who should be shaping the business, just the one reporting it. | imastu pidgitaswell
11/12/2014 08:06 | Slightly worrying RNS this morning. Hardly likely to be good news that the CFO resigns after 18 months. Unless, of course, he was just parachuted in for the placing. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to find someone to pick up the (poisoned) chalice! | ferrism
10/12/2014 16:39 | Thanks ferrism. | freddie ferret
09/12/2014 17:20 | Big sells going through on LSE but the price rises. Are the sells buys? Is this being traded on ISDX/PLUS markets? | freddie ferret
08/12/2014 15:37 | Well, they're prompt, if nothing else: 1 million dumped - sadly another 8m to go. Unless they're merely 'adjusting their portfolio'... | imastu pidgitaswell
05/12/2014 18:03 | When will the bottom be reached fancy dipping back in to these | supasapi
05/12/2014 16:52 | Big trades today, over 2 million, almost all sales. Likely to be Golden Peaks (Troughs) offloading. Being an optimist(!) I see that as a good thing, as these cant really rise until that selling stops. | imastu pidgitaswell
04/12/2014 14:46 | "Good luck all existing and long suffering holders" Glad you made the distinction - having bought these bloody shares long ago and therefore qualifying as long-suffering, I certainly feel like I don't exist anymore (as an active investor at any rate)... ;-) (But hope springs eternal) | imastu pidgitaswell
04/12/2014 10:26 | buywell2 - 30 Jul 2013 - 16:17:29 - 1238 of 2263 None the less the chart looks very dodgy now Any more negative news and it's a big move south 50p even perhaps Not for widows or orphans dyor | buywell2
