13/11/2014 15:55 | volex directors have a habit of screwing up again and again were going into recession and this will tank, most of europe is in recession consumer goods sales are already stalling and will need fewer plugs commodity biz, low margin carp and china is dishing out cheap wires and plugs | dlku
13/11/2014 14:08 | Just stair stepping down the monthly triangle with a series of lower highs. Bottom of the monthly tri is 59p. Surely prudent to wait till at least a higher high on a daily basis before getting involved here but I suppose if you're the CEO then timing financial markets is your expertise! | matt123d
13/11/2014 13:57 | Bought in this am tipjunkie I see the CEO has just added 46K CR | cockneyrebel
13/11/2014 10:36 | I don't see the point of engaging with this, but just once: there was no warning here. Brokers retain ratings: hxxp://sharedealing. We also have the issue of the Golden Peaks (hah!) selling - they still hold a lot and are doubtless still selling. Another impressive performance for their clients - buy high, sell low... but it makes for a significant drag on the share price for some time to come. | imastu pidgitaswell
13/11/2014 10:23 | You're a fool. TTG fell for three consecutive days after its shock warning Wait to 40p :-) | dlku
13/11/2014 10:22 | Tell me I am a fool..but just read the results and they look ok to my amateur eyes...so just bought at 63.75..to take an interest... | maximillian1
13/11/2014 10:09 | and the top of the shop that i can see 232...but would prob go back to 132 first.... CR what do you think oh these figs and what looks a chart set up for this....and what do you know about volley...opinion welcome.. Thomas Cook 146....then down | maximillian1

13/11/2014 09:58 | Ok not in so will call this for a bit of fun ....up 105..down 82....then the long hall to 182... you heard it here first..lol | maximillian1
13/11/2014 09:49 | no nothing about the company.. but my chart says back to 105....and slow rise back to 160 again...over at least 18 months...at 105 would be mid bottom of the parabolic...soon see.. | maximillian1
13/11/2014 09:18 | let us know if you do thanks CR | tipjunkie
13/11/2014 09:13 | tipjunkie - I'd stay in at this level too imo, despite what I said this am. I'm holding TTG after the big dip and after this dip I'd be tempted to buy perhaps, with the interims out the way and the fall done. Copper refuses to go through support so it may just be things are picking up for electrical co's. A lot of today's fall was probably due to that large line of stock traded cheap a week or two ago but once cleared these might firm and may have bottomed this am imo. I'm watching to see if it does firm here - if so I might join you :-) All the best. CR | cockneyrebel
13/11/2014 08:57 | lol Im expecting this to hit 40p | dlku
13/11/2014 08:55 | i'm in for the long haul anyhow | tipjunkie
13/11/2014 08:48 | I think the issue is that they have added to costs to drive sales. In theory, sales to follow once that investment (in sales staff and associated IT systems) has been made. But agree, their $34m of operating expenses are too high relative to their gross profit. Their plan is to grow gross profit faster than those operating expenses - rather than reduce operating expenses. My own view is that it is ripe for a takeover - an acquiror can eliminate most of those central costs quite quickly (they have their own central structure) and essentially buy the gross margin for not a lot. And the price to do so keeps getting cheaper. | imastu pidgitaswell
13/11/2014 08:44 | I don't know what thread that one is one, but ah, the old bulletin board blagger - if you look back on this thread, he wasn't saying that in September and early October - it was all 'next leg up', 'chart looking good etc etc'. All the while (apparently if the above is to be believed) selling out. Oddly, enough, that didn't get posted on here... | imastu pidgitaswell
13/11/2014 08:41 | Costs are just way too high. Even if you look at their table stripping out the non recurring costs, it is barely profitable. EPS of 1cent in H1. That's far below market consensus. The turnaround plan is focused on investment to drive more revenue growth, but they should really be focusing on sorting out their margin issues with current business. | boonkoh
13/11/2014 08:17 | There is progress, it's just painfully slow. No risk now, with minimal net debt and good growth in sales and gross margins. In terms of expecting positive numbers - I think they flagged, if you read the previous announcement, that a lot of investment in people and IT was being made in advance of revenue coming through, so the headline numbers do not surprise me. They have invested more in the operating costs (i.e. not in the gross margin) being more money paid to more senior managers, IT investment etc. They need a return on that, which is yet to come from higher sales, but they talk positively of it. Here's hoping, eh? Also see they're writing off the Active Optical rubbish from a couple of years ago. Stupid idea, but the management responsible for that had already been booted out. I don't think they're necessarily doing much wrong, but a lot of patience is required - I had hoped the price would react positively today. Maybe next time, eh? Before then, of course, share options all round... (I notice they have finally ponced up the website today) | imastu pidgitaswell
13/11/2014 08:12 | this is nuts i'm hoping CR can shed some light on it when he has a moment | tipjunkie
13/11/2014 08:11 | Looks like my decision to sell was the right one. Sorry for those holding though, as I imagine that expectations were for a more positive statement (in terms of numbers). | puzzler2
13/11/2014 08:09 | don't understand this at all - perhaps someone can enlighten me. Looks like someone sold at 68p and herd instinct everyone followed! | parvez |
