Brokers say hold coz they are not allowed to say sell for fear of loss of business. Sitting on fence doesn't help anyone. What do they mean by hold ? Could it be there's no point in selling as you have made huge losses so far so it it could be a chance to recoup a small fraction this . Or could be it well I'm actually not sure where it's going so don't do anything in case you come back to me if I told you to buy or sell . |

That is at a modest premium to its London-listed rival, BT, which trades at a multiple of 4.2. The former state monopoly also comes with a slightly higher expected dividend yield, at 5.8 per cent over the next 12 months.
Vodafone shares now look largely in line with the price tags on other European telecom giants, which trade at an average forward EV to ebitda multiple of 5.9, according to estimates compiled by FactSet. This is not exactly bargain territory, but for now the improving business looks worth holding onto.
