17/9/2007 09:49 | Thanks for your very informative post Muckshifter. I decided to dump mine (at a loss that makes me want to cry) - still it's time to move on and find the next 'sure thing'... Best of luck to those who remain. C | cleudo
17/9/2007 09:39 | Muckshifter Collateral warrantors have the same problem as VTI. They have to have clout or sufficient insurance. The point to stress here is that this problem only exists for the large contracts like PennDot.The smaller contacts like the radon treatment etc should not present any problem at all and as they will produce income year after year they only need to get about 50 signed off to be well into profit. I am confident that this target (which is my own) can be reached in a short period. Now that the first few are up and running I would expect a snowball effect. | ericeb206
15/9/2007 16:24 | Nice to see you upholding the moronic myopic ADVFN tradition of trying to exclude anyone from the board who isn't singing the praises of a company you are invested in TR1, and happy to oblige as I have plenty of work to do instead of following this board today! Goodbye all and good luck! | muckshifter
15/9/2007 15:52 | Thanks Erkman, Although I agree that they have achieved some acceptance, I personally doubt if its enough to get them up and running before the cash runs out. In the past they have regularly needed, and received, infusions of cash, but the lack of progress in winning big contracts must cast some doubt on this continuing after the six years I've been following their progress. Sorry but I don't know why Alcoa were not interested. The American guy I was talking to was involved in construction of their huge disposal lagoons at a quite senior level. He simply implied that it was nonsense of no interest to Alcoa. But IMHO the actual chemists at Alcoa / Alcan etc must surely have looked at both VTI and its chemistry, which was the original assumption that I couldn't square with VTI's claims and the lack of interest from the big bauxite refiners. Regards. | muckshifter
15/9/2007 10:57 | Would be nice to see an intrest in the company Erkman......next week??! | timben
15/9/2007 10:41 | Nice to see you back Muckshifter. Why was there disinterest fron Alcoa in VTI. I have thought for some time that the only way for this company's intellectual property to prove its ability is by takeover or a licencing arrangement in the USA to a large company. What you say about guarantees is spot on but having had alot of their technologies accepted by a growing number of statutory bobies they are further down the line than others in the field which is why I think at some stage VTI will be taken over. | erkman
15/9/2007 10:18 | Surely they have some sort of guarantee to offer with thier products or they would'nt be offering them? | timben
15/9/2007 09:39 | Wha is your take on the VTI situation now then muchshifter.....woul | timben
15/9/2007 08:56 | Morning TR1, Its a long time since I previously posted the explanation above, and when I read the odd few posts made here I no longer see the names which used to be on the board so I thought it was worth explaining again. My work with Alcoa was in the last few months, and I thought it was perhaps worth posting. One thing I forgot to mention, was that a few months after selling my shares, my contact in VTI had replaced the old manager in what to me appeared to be a scaling down of expenditure in Europe. Anyway good luck if you are still in VTI. Regards. | muckshifter
14/9/2007 21:59 | Muckshifter, you say you are out of VTI, then tell us you have explained why on this board some time ago. Why then bother posting the same message again! Are yot trying to help us poor souls who still hold. You must be a Good Guy!!! Regards | tr1
14/9/2007 15:15 | Sorry gents new computer, hit the send button twice. | muckshifter
14/9/2007 12:27 | Isn't the main man at VTI also the main man at GHF and on the board of HYR? | timben
14/9/2007 12:08 | I have been told that hyr or ghf are looking to take over VTI, as they are not nailing the contracts that they should be. My guess is that this is the delay in hyr announcing the financing for the usa plants. The failure on VTI`s part is rubbing off on the other two.I think that the main man in VTi has been pushed to one side(or ousted). The money is in place should be good news (i hope) Good luck | tubby028
14/9/2007 09:19 | Would have been nice to have seen a couple of contract wins strung to together after the results | timben
12/9/2007 13:25 | Dont hold your breath T still plenty of sells! | tr1
12/9/2007 13:00 | Well its good to see a little upward movement something we have'nt seen since the beginning of July!! | timben
12/9/2007 10:50 | The good thing about this contract is that it is in a new area-California. | erkman
12/9/2007 10:33 | tiny contract, but better than a kick in the teeth - need lots and lots more, and bigger.... | cleudo
12/9/2007 09:42 | Alan hopefully your point 3 is the answer and today is the first of several announcements. The one thing I am looking for is some repeat contracts and/or further contracts of a similar type. The company seems to get small assignments all over the world for different project types but there seems to be little follow up. | vitamal |
