Writers strike just a part of what's developing here is my take, arguably paid a pretty price for those multiple acquisitions
and have they performed to plan?. Well in at least one case the answer is No, as referenced at the last update.

When will the writers strike end?


It looks like there’s no end in sight. On Aug. 2, the strike will have reached the three month mark. If they surpass 100 days, which is how long the 2007-2008 strike lasted, the 2023 writers strike will officially be the second longest WGA strike in history.

The 1988 strike lasted 154 days. If 2023’s lasts longer than that we’ll be going into October and headed toward November with the industry still at a stand still.

Phil, it's a side show imv, challenges here
pre date the strike and it should not impact the independent content creation market which dominates YouTube and continues to grow strongly.
