The first acquisition of Italian tile producer Ceramica Serra in 2017 was followed by Keraben, Ibero and Saloni in Spain, then again in Italy by Ceramiche Ascot and Keradom in 2020, and most recently by Ceramiche Colli and Ceramiche Santa Maria on 21 April this year. This last investment of 35 million euros was necessary to expand the Italian operations' production capacity (it now reaches 25 million sqm/year) and to extend its product and brand portfolio.Copied this so not sure if all the acquisitions are still part of VCP but recent news about the tile industry, sounds promising .

This is from...Victoria PLC - Audited results for the year ended 30 March 2024Finally, alongside all the other European ceramics businesses, Victoria has been facing sudden and very aggressive pricing competition from ceramics manufacturers based in India. However, in April 2024 anti-dumping and countervailing duty (or anti-subsidy) petitions were filed by the industry with the US government, seeking the imposition of substantial tariffs (estimated between 408% to 828%) on imports of ceramic tile from India. (A similar application is expected to the European Commission). The industry expects the US government to launch an investigation and anticipates a favourable outcome this year.

I think they have some sort of tile distribution business out there, but I've no idea where that sources from.

Taken from Mohawk 'Worlds largest flooring manufacturer 'Q2 results yesterday. They are also gearing up for return in domestic customers.  On May 10, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the commencement of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations of ceramic tile imported from India. The U.S. ceramic tile trade association believes this could lead to tariffs between 400% and 800%. Given India's widespread dumping, Mexico has increased import duties on Indian tile, and our other markets are currently investigating similar options. In the U.S.

It highlights how difficult trading conditions are but if they totally collapse it opens the door wider for independent retailers who are more likely to sell Victoria's companies ranges.

I believe you are wrong, when global economy's pick up , which they inevitably will, VCP will be in a great position to take advantage to be a cash-generative company, then the debt will not be a problem

Rotrader

It looks certain to go broke and shareholders will lose their entire investment. That doesn't mean the operating companies will close down, they'll be sold off.

Don't think there is any need for that, we all have our opinions but to be honest you people who wish the demise of VCP are pathetic
