15/11/2023 15:04 | Are we bouncing from the low again? looks like it's about to hammer blue | smackeraim
14/11/2023 21:18 | rotrader There is a part of me that wants to be able to say "I told you so", just because it's nice to be right about investments, not because I have anything against you personally nor Victoria shareholders generally. Let's face it we know virtually nothing about each other in real life except what we choose to reveal here and even then we might be lying; for all we both know we might regularly have a drink and a laugh together without either of us realising we've been disagreeing online. | arthur_lame_stocks
14/11/2023 19:32 | S&P credit rating downgrade on Victoria today | bda3490
14/11/2023 19:31 | I’d suggest it’s healthy to have an interest in equities generally…you don’t need to own something to have a valid view | rhomboid
14/11/2023 18:11 | We will see, if you don't hold a position what is your interest- just so you can say , I told you so.Like I said- pathetic | rotrader
14/11/2023 17:29 | Hey, Black Boulder, I'd recommend Kestral Super Strength. | shiftytherat
14/11/2023 14:06 | I'm not a shorter, I never said I wanted it to fail, I just think that it will (the only thing imo that is going to save you from a total wipeout is a massive fundraising at a deeply discounted price meaning you never get all of your money back | arthur_lame_stocks
14/11/2023 13:08 | Thanks for posting that ldrcvm, the rating can only go so much lower. I expect Black Boulder will be along in a mo to let us know that S&P are in league with the shorters. | arthur_lame_stocks
14/11/2023 12:56 | Fitch maintained VCP's credit rating (B--) on 5th Oct. This momentous event was deemed worthy of an RNS. Oddly today's S&P downgrade is not considered worthy of notice. | ldrcvm
13/11/2023 20:36 | Cannot Recommend A Purchase? | arthur_lame_stocks
13/11/2023 18:45 | The market in general went up a lot today, so why did VCP not follow the trend? What are analysts saying about VCP? | bouleversee
13/11/2023 17:38 | Hey Black Boulder, I bet you're glad you crafted that lengthy note. Imagine what would have happened today without your wise words to calm the markets. | shiftytherat
13/11/2023 17:36 | If you're being advised by Glass Lewis to vote against the approval of a company's accounts, the smart move is to vote in favour and sell the stock. Deciding to vote against is like being a turkey and voting for christmas. Hence, VCP gets close to 100% votes, but shares fall by 16%. | shiftytherat
13/11/2023 17:27 | Share chat ! Go on fill yer boots and borrow buy buy buy The Times is wrong ! Or … | bda3490
13/11/2023 17:24 | £857000? That's a nice salary for running a company which loses £100m a year. | arthur_lame_stocks
13/11/2023 16:39 | Black Boulder Do you have link to Times article please. I cant find it. | ldrcvm
13/11/2023 16:19 | Ceo £857000Cfo £376000Chair £65000 as he as always said he wants to be aligned with shareholders in share price appreciation. | william127
13/11/2023 16:07 | I have never shorted anything and never will but I am entitled to feel depressed if I am not getting any income and am losing a large percentage of my capital when I need money to pay large bills for maintenance of house and garden inter alia and my annuity rate was fixed over 20 years ago. I had checked that unused votes would not have made any difference to the outcome but don't forget that Wilding and cronies hold a large proportion of the shares and I doubt that institutions hold many. One might have expected the price to go up after the voting results were reported but it has gone down another 15% instead so presumably shorters are piling in or there really is something amiss. I still haven]t had time to check what Wilding and co. are paying themselves in salary, bonuses and free/cheap shares. | bouleversee
13/11/2023 15:16 | Don't get sucked into shorters spiral of depression bouleversee. Today if you believed the news you would have thought our accounts would have been voted out but the reality of The Times article and these two amounts to less than 3% voted against! | william127
13/11/2023 15:07 | More sensationalist tabloid trash, this time an article in The Times today. Contrary to the headline which suggested that Victoria’s board was expected to be carpeted at the General Meeting today, 97% of shareholders voted in favour of the two resolutions, accepting the annual accounts, and reappointing the auditors. | black boulder
13/11/2023 14:22 | Hasn't helped the share price Thank you so much Mr Wilding for doing so much for your shareholders while you float around on your expensive yacht. | bouleversee
13/11/2023 14:02 | All passed | babbler
13/11/2023 13:26 | Proxy votes yeah. But those attending the AGM can vote today | babbler
13/11/2023 12:42 | Now I've been on to their website, I see that the meeting at 1 pm today is to approve the accounts and a resolution to reappoint the Auditors. I expect they will be approved as was everything at the AGM. I don't recall receiving any notification of this meeting or the AGM which took place in Sept. which is presumably because I hold my shares in an ISA. The article was too late for shareholders anyway as the website says votes had to be registered by 1 pm on 9 November. | bouleversee |
