Lost a fortune here and have just got fed up of waiting to see what type of business we end up with.

Swiftnick,

well, been doing Tax Returns for several years now and this is the only time to have the Cost figures way out for no known reason. What's more take a look at this link which suggests to me (strongly) that Vialogy has hit a new paridigm in respects of CGT calcs by the change in the share class from 0.01 to 0.001.

I expect it's the section labeled....Bonus issues and rights issues of shares of a different class.

Twix,I don't think the change in class makes any difference. The gain (or loss) is simply the difference between the sale proceeds and the original cost.
