Got my dividend of £470, not bad 9.5p a share

I don't even know if this is it for the year?

This works out at 2.6% alone and if another interim comes along, even better

London Evening Standard, Business section had a BUY for Vesuvius on p 47 Portfolio,.tonight

It has 1 Buy, 1 Hold and 1 Sell

It said Vesuvius can ride out the cycles with reliable dividens from the ceramics business, it also said that at 353p a broker gives a target of 385p

Pity as it was over 400p a few days ago

Div 9.5p ex div on 17th May, paid 27th June (Alnt paid 5.5P)

Dividend
In line with the guidance set out at the demerger, the Board has recommended a final dividend of 9.5 pence per share. The final dividend, if approved at the Annual General Meeting on 4 June 2013, is to be paid on 27 June 2013 to shareholders on the register on 17 May 2013. Any shareholder wishing to participate in the Vesuvius Dividend Reinvestment Plan ("DRIP") needs to have submitted their election to do so by 6 June 2013.
Looking ahead, we expect Vesuvius to be a strongly cash generative business and we recognise the importance of cash distributions to shareholders, including long-term dividend growth. Future dividend decisions will take into account Vesuvius' underlying earnings, cash-flows investment plans and the prevailing market outlook, and the Board intends to announce the first dividend under this new policy along with the 2013 Interim results.

With the Ftse futures now down 114 points from the 16:30 close, and VSVS and ALNT having risen so much in the last month, there must be profit taking tomorrow.

Strange that the de-merger from Cooksons has reduced the combined BBs posts of VSVS and ALNT by so much so quickly?

Is it because(so far) it's just been an increases in both SP's and BB like to post when disasters are happening

Alent up nearly 26p to close at 368p

I know this is Vesuvius thread but nobody on that thread with any ideas except results due 21st March (the same)

They have only been demurred a couple of months, can the results be that much higher for a 7.5% day rise.

I'm hoping that a strong rumour of a bid, is the reason, soon know.

If no legs it will down 26p
