20/6/2021 18:36 | Knight Architects do design some nice bridges. I agree - graphene should certainly be on their radar at least, even if not yet working with it. | grabster
20/6/2021 17:57 | Hello Folks, Some time back I gave a link to railway foot bridges. This link is very interesting. It looks like the sort of thing our graphene could add real value to, strengthening and enabling new design idea's. 'Knight Architects was appointed to develop a concept design in Spring 2020, and have developed the design almost entirely remotely with Network Rail, Jacobs, Flo Flo, KS Composites, Sui Generis, Q-Railing, Rapid Root, Epsilon Optics, Sentry Systems and Mabey Bridge.' ..made from Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (FRP). Nice if it used our 'Arch' material..polygrene or a variant. | laginaneil
20/6/2021 17:10 | I believe the reason he's not taken action is that the way TW has his companie(s) etc. set up means it is difficult to get any money out of him. | mutantcar
20/6/2021 14:17 | Looking at the adverts for those units, 1500Sq foot was £10k PA, so 15,000sq ft could be approaching £100k PA bar discounts and planning to knock down a house and build isn't cheap. As someone said yesterday Chris won't be authorizing that unless he can see it making sense. We can become a Unicorn out of that because we won't be producing everything on site, there will be licensing deals and production nearer to the end user. This site is intended for testing, prototypes, quality control, office space etc as i see it. Still going in the right direction and positive signs as far as i can tell, but like everyone else i wish we could announce that first decent sized deal. | 772
20/6/2021 14:00 | It is a very good question, so I will ask another. How much space does knowledge and IP need? | johnveals
20/6/2021 11:11 | I'm looking for good collegiate replies. | alchemy
20/6/2021 09:47 | Can we really become a Unicorn out of a 15000 foot or 25000 square feet facility? ( by say end 2022) | alchemy
20/6/2021 09:43 | Appreciating we are not just graphene, with the commercial visibility we have at this time point, who / what is going to pay for our 10,000 sq ft 'mini GEIC' innovation centre? | c140
20/6/2021 08:55 | More likely to be Graphene enhanced plastic products - drone wings etc? | momewrath1
20/6/2021 08:49 | Any ideas what concrete products they will be 3-d printing at the new facility? | chillpill
20/6/2021 08:38 | 'A New Material Can Soften the Roar of Aircraft to Hairdryer Levels' Are we involved with Bath University - MAST? | willoicc
19/6/2021 21:02 | This could be a good use of graphene enhanced concrete. Less concrete = less weight = floats better? Concrete maybe better in water etc. | laginaneil
19/6/2021 20:01 | "Moves are always disruptive" Is there anything to disrupt? Who knew? | kemche
19/6/2021 14:00 | Hello Markyboy, That video about Concretene - good find. I think the bit 'taged' on the end about reusing old building and materials while admirable makes a few incorrect statements. It implied the co2 to make the graphene was significant. I don't agree with this. The % graphene is so small compared with the concrete saved. It implied other things / technologies could do what the graphene does and have been around for a while. I don't agree with this. The best i have seen on co2 saving /reuse is Carboncure but I don't think it offers the same strength improvement and subsequent new design opportunities etc. Just my thoughts... | laginaneil
19/6/2021 13:59 | Procrastinate? Pontificate? | philbyk137
19/6/2021 13:43 | Morning folks, To all the aspiring 'managers' who have no information about the day to day company operations but feel they can procrastinate over what NR should and shouldn't be doing, what stops them manufacturing for orders and stockpiling a little to overcome the dissruption of the move. Just one solution. Just my thoughts... From the video could anybody see what was on the pallets in the new unit? | laginaneil
19/6/2021 13:34 | Is this true Graphene, or Graphite ? hxxps://www.azom.com hxxps://www.c6th.com | bazzerp
19/6/2021 13:17 | So the move is to enable the 'Expansion of graphene facilities' (ceo@vrs) - just hope the growth in graphene and graphene product sales contribute significantly towards servicing the escalating pre-income costs. The hopper obviously needs to start delivering. I am sure it will. The big question is will it be 2021? | c140
19/6/2021 12:50 | NR says move should be complete by end of August. Moves are always disruptive but I am sure VRS can continue progressing throughout the move. Many irons in the fire. | verger
19/6/2021 12:40 | Nothing is ever as it seems or as simple! Words and phrases all seem to have double meanings. Scale up for example could be, premises, staff, clients, machinery etc etc ultimately leading to production. Nice new facilities, good move. Good feel about it. | dudhew |
