Thanks, Fest. I try to keep a balanced view regardless of what's going on around me.

But then again, I thought 64p would be the bottom!

I think and maybe I am outspoken here but I believe some had seen the drops and sold hoping to buy back in at a lower price this causing the initial drop Then when it wasn't going that way they jump back inOnly my thoughts but do your research and you'll see what is coming. If you do that without flip flopping I think you'll be alright I know nooothing

Hello donj,

Don't think it was arrival of good news more the departure of the 'bad news' crew.

Around 49p buying with a bit of momentum kicked in as people realised.

Lets hope they have cleared their problem 'bet' and gone.

No specific news drove the bounce today, but then again no specific news drove the drop either.

Sadly, a few shareholders got shaken out at lower levels due to fear and herd thinking, and others will now profit from that.

This is a long-term hold for me, so while drops like this are unpleasant, they don't affect my opinion of the business. If I had spare cash it would be a great time to top up, but I spent my last lot at 64p.

Very quiet here considering what's happened today, and not a peep out of Loggie since 8.30 this morning. You have to wonder if a lawyer's letter arrived not long after he posted, or has he just cut and run with his ill gotten gains?

Seems to me that all the parasites are still here but under new names, all now praising vrs and willing it to go up. Then they will sell and be back slagging it again.

I would be quite happy for it to sit around this price for a few months, 😀

Keep up the good work Mr Ricketts and team

Good day today, hope for many more days like today. Shame some folks gloating about Mr Motivator bad punt.

Per se, I do believe in VRS. Too many bad people in our midst wanting to steal all genuine investors monies.

I attended the Advanced Material Show in Telford last July and gave some feedback at post #73579.

This year’s show will be held at Stoneleigh on 8-9th July and the organizers have written a short e-book overview of advanced materials for those registering

Graphene is featured as the current standout advanced material and a promo description by James Baker of the GEIC Manchester is included there.

Neither I, nor anyone else IMO, have much idea about precisely how fast the international market will grow for graphene and other advanced materials but in my view it will become large within a ten year timescale. I’d like to see the UK reap at least a good part of the sizable financial benefits.

I have also little idea how successful VRS will be in commercialising their IP.
But in the context of that large market opportunity, I don’t think another placement of five million pounds is particularly material if that is what is needed to keep them going for another two to three years. Even with that additional funding they may not succeed. But I don’t know of another UK quoted company better placed to do so. For example, I don’t share loglorry1’s relative enthusiasm for Directa Plus (LSEAIM: DCTA) with a market cap of around £50m whose addressed markets are much more limited than those of VRS.

Obviously the biggest uncertainty in trying to put a current valuation on VRS is China – for a number of reasons some of which, such as the potential military applications of graphene, have clearly become political and so outside of VRS management’s control. However, following on from the Government’s Huawei decision and its post-Brexit desire for international trade agreements, I think some agreement from China is more likely than not.

In my previous attempts at such a valuation, such as at posts #76292 and #61398, I did include a chunk for China. But if that’s not to be, then IMO the current share price of around 50p is not unreasonable.

In terms of investment risk, I have always thought having a shareholding in VRS is a punt (albeit a reasonable one e.g. post # 61129) and so one’s position should be sized to one’s own financial and risk profiles after allowing for VRS’ failure.

As to this BB in recent weeks, I can’t believe how spiteful and small-minded some posters can be. I feel sorry for those who seem to spend the majority of their waking hours sitting uselessly at a screen. VRS is after all just one small cap share whose price day to day is (hopefully) not a matter of life and death.

Super impressive bull action today, held strong right into the close, sent the bears running scared into the hills. Btfd’s big time now imo on impressive turnaround Wednesday volume day. Should see a run up to test mid 70’s.now

Post 94365 Excuse the formatting but I research the stock and look for the good and bad and this post by RTG captures my thoughts pretty close. Read it and tell me if it's wrong but tell me why you think that. I'm happy to discussI know nooothingI understand many PIs will feel a bit rotten tonight but I would urge them to look at the facts. The company released an RNS yesterday stating there was no material reason for the drop and clarified the financial position. This is still the same company it was last month and the very same company at 180p, in fact it’s laid more foundations and in a stronger position since then. This isn’t a duff stock that has a questionable future. It’s not a oil stock that hit a duster, it’s not a pharma that just failed a trial, it’s not even a tech stock with a new technology that could fail. We know the tech works as per the Arch, commercial agreements with textiles and the drilling part, even the MD headphones and its glorious reviews. We know deals are absolutely imminent and given the companies involved are likely to be company makers in themselves. We know China options are being worked through to invest and open the door to the Chinese market. You get the drift. If nothing has change and nothing is wrong then why sell? Because you fear it will go lower? Because you’ve already carrying paper losses and you want to preserve capital? Don’t get mugged, remember the investment case, see the true story, don’t sell low. And when we do rise back up which I expect to happen rather quickly whatever you do don’t sell at your breakeven point. It’s basic stuff but if you let the faux decline mess with your emotions, you’ll make daft decisions. The price decline bears no reflection on the business. Business is going great, financed and healthy and no doubt on the cusp of signing a mega deal. This will be a unicorn and then decacorn given the right timeline imo.
