03/12/2019 23:36 | Thanks very much The Skipper and Shavian Loved this: Someone observed: 'But at some stage, you have to hand everything over to the Chinese'. NR gave an emphatic NO to this prospect, explaining that VRS had WOFE status through its currently inactive company in Hong Kong and that chemicals would be dispatched to this company first and thence to JV organisations. He added that the different machines in the production system were in constant communication and would 'die' if operated outside of production parameters and they could be shut down at any time from the UK. | ![]() sandbag

03/12/2019 23:20 | The Clubbie Fest Collective ® hereby reject this outpouring of optimism and will henceforth continue their unremitting campaign of negativity towards VRS/Ricketts (and 'Graham') We WILL be proven RIGHT and one day you will all bow before us. | ![]() clubbie fest collective

03/12/2019 23:09 | Big thanks from me too Shavian. Knowing China would love to have our technology I am so pleased VRS are taking their time to make sure full IP protection is in place before they finally sign that BIGT deal. As you say protection of IP is critical. | ![]() bobsworth
03/12/2019 22:55 | Thanks for filling in the gaps Shavian. I have far too much wax in my ears at the moment and with the background noise from a crowded pub I found it difficult to hear those parts of it where Neill was adressing the other end of a long table, so I only reported on what I could hear clearly, but I had a really good laugh about the Aston Martin episode and the other one with the loaned Bentley! | ![]() the skipper
03/12/2019 22:52 | Skipper's report is fair summary although people are already extrapolating the meaning to fit their own agenda. I still do think sales will be like popcorn, but perspective is everything. For example last night someone asked the following about the shirt that was passed around "Does the inclusion of graphene significantly increase the cost of making the shirt? " to which Neill said no not for that application. So price points will be key. Will VRS get £5, £10, £15, £20 etc. per item who knows, but it's going to need volume to generate significant revenue (and MAS is the right partner for that). Positive for the share price, absolutely, but will it say double the MC of VRS on it's own in say 6 to 12 months, I'm more realistic. Of course this is just the start, but the more sophisticated graphene sports tech, won't be the first order based on that insight. Personally, I'm a lot more excited about AECOM, always have been. | ![]() 2dinvestor
03/12/2019 22:43 | Shavian, also many thanks for taking the time to share your notes with us. Lots to get our teeth in to there. As you say, sadly wasted on others,, some just don't realise that they are looking a gift horse in the mouth.... | ![]() woodpeckers
03/12/2019 22:31 | I used to feel sorry for Club Sandwich, falling off the rails like that and then promising to stay away from the board whilst he came to terms with his problems. Sadly the promise was soon broken, revealing to all his poor character. I've never filtered anyone before as I always like to listen to reasoned debate, but repetitive negativity with nothing to back it up and his vile language and vindictiveness to others has finally got to me, so in the filter bin he goes. | ![]() the skipper
03/12/2019 22:24 | Skipper I just wanted to add my appreciation for the time you invested in attending the event and for sharing your observations with us in such a balanced and credible manner. Against the backdrop of your having a hectic day your consideration shows that you are clearly a team player taking account of your fellow LTHs hunger for feedback, so thank you. I believe that I am no different from all other LTH who wait, with baited breath, to hear anything that would give an indication of the lead time to the first tangible news that will elevate the share price I am therefore delighted for my and my fellow Versariens’ sake to hear that Neil overtly stated that “The MAS production line is now ready for action”. This collapses the timescale for a textiles announcement from many months to possibly just a few weeks. In a recent post I speculated that the 22 months of negotiations between VRS, MAS and the third party Global Brands may have brought us very close to the launch of Graphene enhanced products. I am therefor delighted to learn that my somewhat optimistic speculation may materialise in the very near future. So thanks again Striker and good fortune to you and all my fellow LTHs. | ![]() evergreen8
03/12/2019 22:06 | ewads, the only negative was that the share price is currently being controlled in a tight range by a combination of PI traders, minor II's and the shorting gang, but sooner or later they will be overwhelmed by positive newsflow and sentiment swings back to uber positive. Have to say that NR was in fine form throughout and amused us with some very funny anecdotes about some of his staff. Near the end of the meeting someone asked him at what point would he be satisfied that his job is done and perhaps step back from the limelight? His answer was a market cap of £1 billion, so I am thinking that might be the price he has in mind for the inevitable buyout once the company has truly established itself as the global leader in its field. I am sure that many of us would have a touch of sadness about that but would equally be happy to hold a stock that delivers a growing dividend income if the deal is based on a share exchange for the buyer's stock. | ![]() the skipper
03/12/2019 21:49 | Hello Skipper, Very generous of you to spend your time typing up that information. I would like to join with all the other folk who thank you. I even got a another small top up today at 93.9, not a lot but every share a golden nugget ! | ![]() laginaneil |
