Correct. All one one off set costs off set against tax. Very handy if your making good profits.

"Monthly spending has increased significantly as I said in my additional note, which I infer to be scale-up related."

surely scale-up costs will be capex not opex? IE one-off for plant etc not recurring?

DaveMac3 and Lucky: to clarify your posts, that quote did not come from my AGM notes, as you’ll see if you wind back up the board. I’m not sure that the quote is entirely accurate. Yes, we have had InnovateUK funds, and yes, we are scaling up but I’m not sure that the two are linked in the way described.

My hurriedly-typed notes at the meeting have Neill saying we must get the scale-up sorted first (which is in process) because otherwise big orders could be a major challenge (MW said much the same later in the Q&A). Monthly spending has increased significantly as I said in my additional note, which I infer to be scale-up related. In the same answer, NR reminded us that VRS is dealing in multiple sectors, with multiple customers, albeit concentrating effort on the 5 big areas which remain unspecified other than BIGT, textiles and AECOM. He said that having this diversity of activity was helping him sleep soundly.

So in summary I cannot confirm the specific point about the link between InnovateUK funding and the scale-up, but I don’t feel it’s anything to get hung up about. VRS is well funded for the short-term, even without reliance on BIGT incoming cash. My pull is that we’ll get the scale-up done for Nanene in time for any major AECOM and textile orders, regardless of whether BIGT happens, which I’m sure it will regardless of the additional complexities hinted at in the Q&A.

Say what you like about Rainbow, but he's called this right so far.

And why?

Because of Ricketts' complete inability to dleiver *anything* of significant commercial value.

He needs to go. Now.

It is from Shavians notes from the AGM, but he has indicated in tweets that if you have any questions that he can answer he will do so in an email.

The good thing with VRS is that time will tell whether they succeed or not but if they fail it won't be down to mismanagement of the company or it's finances, that's why I'm fully invested. It's a fantastic odds-on bet in my opinion and with their more than doubling of expenditure and release of that promotional video recently I suspect that the bet will be paying out soon.

When are the rampers going to get the message that this Company is made up of hot air and missed timelines and that investing in this fantasy is a fast road to ruin. Wise up guys, your money is wasted here.

If you email him Dave I am sure that he will clarify as he has mentioned that route is always open to things already in the public domain.

lucky, was this quote from NR at the AGM? I can't find any mention of grants funding scale up in the annual report, though they do say they have access to GEIC facilities.

“The Innovate UK grant has helped finance proof of scale-up [to 30 tons/year?] and kit will be bought in as orders materialise”

Once this ongoing trial/testing process has been proved up ( and announced) / this will be the signal for mega re rate IMO - good things will follow including likely china deals you’d think

The fact that the Co has specifically named the project “proof of scale up” shows the weight that they ( and all current & wannabe shareholders & industry partners ) should attach to this IMO

Selling, prospecting, representation, , there are so many activities under the handle "sales".There will be graphene awareness but not necessarily Nanene knowledge. This won't be sales by nuisance calls. It may even be the ability to follow more than 4 strategic paths. Also our successful case stories will be useful . As they come further on. Headphones Oil industry, Charging rates....the prospect talking to us next January is going to overwhelmed by references .
