30/9/2019 10:02 | Because i run a busy company with my own head up my back side.I don't spend my life on here, can't attend all the Agm's of the companies i unvest in.I therefore often rely on valuable but well informed posters who i appreciate warmly. They do not have to share there hard research and knowledge and for that i am truly greatful.I think though it is acceptable to post reasonable remarks that may be what lappears to be a negative take. This is of course structual and gives me often the information that i may have missed. One of the reasons for the boards i believe. | ![]() soilderboy
30/9/2019 09:57 | Maybe you presume incorrectly? Raising the Versarien profile for free can’t hurt, can it? | ![]() johnveals
30/9/2019 09:50 | I suppose what I don't understand Soilderboy is that when that type of statement is brought up why you don't remember the recent pre AGM statement by VRS? For me it covers what you are talking about? I have a good memory and accept that some don't read the RNS's and then re-read them, if this company says something then they are on the case i.e "As reported on the 26 July 2019, the Company had signed a Letter of Intent with its Asian based textile partner. I can confirm that advanced discussions have now been held with the intent to sign a formal commercial partnership in the near future." That Asian based textile partner is the one who supplies the big names who will actually drive sales. Not knocking your point but always listen to the company. | ![]() luckyorange
30/9/2019 09:49 | Well said Zagrosfold, and as I pointed up , at the AGM Neill pointed out that Marketing and Promotional work would feature at stage 3. I took that to mean that with a few meaty orders already out in the open and ongoing, that would be the ideal time to run it.( Stage 2 is obviously going well to plan) | ![]() scottishfield

30/9/2019 09:26 | SoilderBoy - Neill has stated that that approach costs more money than they're willing to spend. They're not prepared to spend money on a big sales team until they get first revenue. They're concentrating on a few industries which they think will get them that first revenue quickest and then they will expand and promote more. Interesting comment by Shavian's report from the AGM where he said that they'd started to increase spending so I took that as a hint that first revenue is near. I believe that VRS's tight spending plan and cautious approach will reap greater rewards than overspending and gambling on receiving orders from a big sales staff and advertising. Time will tell if this happens but I'm grateful that VRS isn't living beyond it's means which would lead to endless dilution through share placings. Plus the amount of testing that needs to be done by these companies means that no matter how much graphene you can sell through good salespeople the actual revenue takes a long time to appear so you're paying sales wages for no immediate return. Selling graphite by the tonne for golf balls, shoes, skis or whatever does not produce reasonable profits. | ![]() zagrosfold

30/9/2019 08:45 | They know how to make money SoilderBoy. I think that they have come to an inflection point and are on the cusp of making reepeatable revenue from their strategy thus far, it takes time and I believe their 'model' will do them well for the future. There are always competitors in any business and all operate at different levels of quality, relating it to Baked Beans in a supermarket some will buy the cheapo's because they are happy with that or go for the more expensive ones because they prefer the quality or taste. Horses for courses. Simplifying it a lot but if you want quality that does what it says on the tin with the support in place to produce the quality you require then that is what you go for . China will have looked at thousands of graphene products and graphene itself and what a sustainable quality solution , they have done 'cheap' for years and know that it doesn't work . With pile it high sell it cheap you get what you pay for and the adage buy cheap buy twice comes to mind. | ![]() luckyorange

30/9/2019 08:33 | 'all confidence lost in NR to deliver anything of monetary value to shareholders' - I take it you are speaking personally billwave? If not, who are you stating this on behalf of? Trouble with statements like this is where do you go when proven wrong with regards judgement credibility? | ad631
30/9/2019 08:33 | Sorry. That's not how you make money!!! | ![]() soilderboy
30/9/2019 08:26 | Nothing happening here, all confidence lost in NR to deliver anything of monetary value to shareholders. All hopes pinned on a BIGT deal that if history is anything to go by probably won't happen. And if a deal does go through with the the Chinese equivalent of the GEIC, take a look at what that has done for us. Not saying VRS won't amount to something one day but it's looking increasingly more likely that it could be a few more years away. | ![]() billwave
30/9/2019 08:25 | VRS are not a 'knocking on door' business. After deliberating, their strategy is to collaborate in 5 carefully chosen areas rather than the scattergun approach. If you want a graphene off the shelf company, look elsewhere. | ![]() ewads
30/9/2019 08:13 | I think the Innovate support has been ongoing Dave and the company has recognised that . It is in the 2019 report the role that UK grants have played in developing materials | ![]() luckyorange
