I'm going nowhere. I want Ricketts fired and the company put up for sale - the only way s'holders are ever going to see significant value. He's a rank incompetent, and he's been proving it over and over for the past two years. How in God's name has he managed to NOT bring in significant revenues? The man's bloody useless.

If you don't like the company Ian sell and go away, you have nothing to complain about as you have made money out of investing in VRS and you are making a fool of yourself complaining about it ... think about it!

Dockland Light Railway ....is driverless. But got you folks , all is area of great opportunity. Humour me here folks.....West London is alive with electric scooters. So battery power moving one individual . Said to be illegal but then so is the P.M. ! I was wondering if they could travel in a thin very light safe runway channel or hoisted onto a light strong unbreakable ropeway to assist urban movement . I'm inviting us to think about a revolutionary get to places urban system.

laginaneil - I do recall that being mentioned here. But did that come from the company or just guesswork by posters?

p@ - TfL need to reduce the separation between underground trains to increase the capacity of the system. I'm no telecomms/microwave expert but the arch is all about mounting equipment that is part of meeting that specific objective.

Morning Grabster,

I thought Polygrene was manufactured by AAC some of which we have sold.

So in theory then at some point in the future VRS could quite legitimately have pictures of rockets launching on their website.

Now that would be funny.

I thought I'd look up the melt point just for reference.

Ceramics are refractory otherwise known as high melting point materials. As stated before, they tend to have very high melting points compared to most metals. Common ceramics include aluminum oxide, melting point (MP) 3720˚F, Titania 3245˚F, Chromia 3450˚F, and Zirconia (calcia stabilized) around 4870˚F and Tungsten Carbide/Cobalt 5200˚F. Some metals are also ‘refractory217;. They include Tungsten 6170˚F and Molybdenum 4750˚F.

Rocket nozzles

higher temperatures are desirable, but materials lose their strength if the temperature becomes too high. Rockets run with combustion temperatures that can reach ~3,500 K (~3,200 °C or ~5,800 °F).

Good find Jointer

If Hexotene strengthens ceramics and assists heat dissipation then there is likely to be a whole host of uses in various products linked to ceramics.

The last line in one media report post results

"through to producing Hexotene enhanced ceramics for use in satellite engines.”

It may help explain why the mention of 1 tonne Hexotene production planned, or in play.

Having now seen some Hexotene news from the Total Carbide subsidiary, I wonder when we will ever see any news from the Aac Cyroma subsidiary. When Versarien acquired it 3 years ago Neill Ricketts said "It provides a dedicated facility from which to manufacture graphene enhanced plastics on an industrial scale." Since when we've heard nothing along those lines from them. A question for the agm?

No clues on their website

Great find Jointer, I'm surprised that wasn't an RNSnon, all adds a little more fuel to our rocket.

I'm sure the question will be raised that if hexotene is successful in the testing and can reduce the weight then what other uses (if which I am sure there are many) can be made of it in rockets.

Jointer13, thanks for the link and good to see that the benefits of 2D materials are being incorporated into other companies in the Versarien group. As Neill has mentioned in Podcasts he is looking for opportunities to work further along the value chain.
