I can understand why VRS wouldn’t want to charge just to engage at what us effectively the initial product pitch and risk losing a good prospect. Once it moves on to the next stage the most effective way of weeding out time wasters is to charge a meaningful retainer and it hopefully will cover VRS costs too.

All looking good and from an investor perspective I like the more frequent use of the word derisk on here!

Yet another massive tick, VAR? Wait till football sees the Graphene Ink disruption, I'm sure offside will be indicated to the player before any move is made. I'm sure the possibilities in sport are endless but the clothes become something else, part of the game. F1, heat dissipation, that will bring in some great race gear. The £££'s from the big deal will allow R&D to be blue sky thinking. All the general items round us I'm sure will benefit, baths, toilets, sinks, the incorporation is limitless. Weight reducing, omission friendly.

Graphene has too many uses to grant exclusivity to anyone, no matter how big the cheque.

Short term gain = long term pain.

Just look at Futura, Transense, et al.

I think Neill once said that graphene might not even be the best of their 2d materials stable. Truly mind-boggling!

The reason I'm virtually all-in on vrs is down to Neill. He stands out from the crowd of businessmen in that he seems to want to change the world with this technology and has seen the bigger picture. As the biggest shareholder why would you dilute your earnings potential by signing away chunks of your business for big cheques. Short-term he could gain massively but he's not that kind of guy. Money doesn't drive him in that way. Graphene is going to be so important that he has to think strategically in case the tech is stolen through fair means or foul. I am only scratching the surface of knowledge in this area but I can be sure that Neill has seen far greater things than I can imagine, especially with all the other 2d materials that can be created using vrs's unique tech. Also the fact that they're still going round universities looking for more great ideas is mind-boggling. I've never wanted to chop off my trading hands more in my life.

I was lucky enough to see the rail infrastructure project ad certain in my own mind that it is not going to be too long before the launch. I believe it will go global.

Today we had confirmation that the sports apparel wear has been a success with testing completed. Now, more tests and tweaking before the majors launch products.

Which BIGT assistance, I can see A factory producing Nanene in the non too distant future. I trust everyone will do their own research and reach their own conclusions.

I am fully loaded here SIPP, ISA’s, wife’s ISA’s. But I can not see a better investment opportunity out there and I will buy more as funds become available.

I had that chat with Scrutable and VRS staff.

Scrutable was talking about charging for engaging in collaborations and so on, Ceres is in well known significant hype sector of fuel cells so its easy to attract interest if you are onto something like that.

VRS are into the graphene sector which has been plagued by many companies misleading the big names, which had such companies thinking graphene does not work, but they now realise they were not working with graphene.

So early on it's not wise to charge and block out big names in a sector where they have had poor service from others claiming to have game changing graphene.

We are however in a step change were it seems to me that it's likely VRS will move that way once things embed. They already have a system of weeding out companies and turn them away not willing to engage, they have turned some big companies away.

So yes I think there will come a point when it will cost to enter into an NDA with VRS.

Lets's not forget just about all companies talking to VRS approached VRS, not the other way around.

A couple of weeks back you were speculating in your opinion the share price has potential to be £15-£150. So from this weeks news and from your witnessed on Wednesday would you now consider the share price more than likely at the upper end of the estimate. I'm purely curious. I've still got 10 yrs before i can access my sipp so I'm in no hurry, and appreciate you are in a better position to make an estimate

Harry

I have long posted on various threads over the years about my 10 minute and 30 minute rule.

That is a method I use for bad news trading and it fits for good news you want to buy a share too.

Personally on good news the Mms will raise the rope to what and see, either buys will come in and they quickly move it higher + sit on your hands, or sells will come in on the spike = sit on your hands.

After 10 minutes it tends to settle down and you know what stock is about either way and any games MMs may have been up to are apparent.

30 mins gone is typically when the retail side of the news event has stopped and you can calmly test for prices and amounts.

On bad news shares that is the timeframe too for all the stop losses, margin calls and panic selling to go through, auctions extend that time on the 10 minute rule.

The greater the BB activity on a share and the greater the share price rise generally the bigger the amount that can be made on bad news bounce. MMS step off the track stop loss and margin chaos begins.

The great a share price rise and the more busy a BB is means there are a greater number of over-geared gamblers in. If you know the herd community and their avatars you know chaos is just one news item or one panic trend or one tree shake away. share price hikes attract the herd on the FOMO game.

Hence I steer clear of investing in such shares and dread the arrival of the herd if that ever happens. They have been here and gone, they will be back one day but it won't matter then.

Morning all, great LAUNCH LOI (this is significant) this morning and another solid base to work from.
So which company is it? Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Asics, Under Armour, New Balance, North Face??
My personal opinion is why does it have to be only one, why can't it be all of them and follow the business model of Goretex or Lycra?
After all, can you see Neill and VRS giving exclusivity on such a ground breaking 'catch all' global product? because personally I can't!
GLALTH and have a great weekend

SG1: I had the good fortune of a marvellous few minutes with Scrutable before ‘the event’ this week. He believes that Ceres Power, along with Versarien and Oxford Biomedica, have the best prospects out of all UK companies.

He highlighted the point that both CWR and OXB had been very successful in capitalising on their collaborations more lucratively than VRS has to date, by extracting large sums for investment into their technology. Fair comment, but VRS could have done the same but I gather NR has turned down similar offers to avoid complicating commitments from unwanted partners. The BIGT deal, if/when it comes off would be the first one to emulate CWR and OXB.

Disclosure: I hold CWR as well as VRS

So I don't think VRS is going to be huge anymore.

I know it's going to be massive.

Time to chill and enjoy the ride and no doubt more similar news to come.

Stage 1 is NDA or NDA and collaboration, stage 2 LOIs. In some parts of the world LOIs first then MOUs were are various ways.

We want growth, we want orders. The step processes along that route are what set the stage for launches. The companies with VRS are world leaders in their sector so we are talking huge launches. Not just one sports company but many by the looks of it and other names in that sector outside of sports.

Such sectors are all about new ideas and product advancement claims, this will be fast moving, it has been already.

Why do I respond to the likes of Rainbow23? This forum is infested with trolls who undermine the research and commitment from likes of superg, rtg, Ellisj and bring this forum into disrepute. Doing nothing usually does not work. Challenging on an intellectual level becomes a necessity. Also, I need to protect my investment. Additionally, I get a bit of a kick out of rediculing the likes of Rainbow23.

Let’s hope that some Versarien branding can be applied to the graphene enhanced garments similar to ‘goretex’; branding. That would be a major step forwards.
