Hey John,Very interesting about how much Gore are worth.Yesterday we were speculating on VRS brand naming of textiles like nanotex. We can see where this is going and how lucrative VRS will be in this sector alone:)))

It will be interesting to see how the say soccer boot/shoe develops. For the sole it could be reduced in weight but still retain its strength. The formulation would not have to be too rigid to maintain flexibility.
The upper could be either leather or polymer. Coloured leather incorporating Graphene has already been demonstrated so more wear resistant waterproof leather or polymer both reduced in weight.
Inside the sole can have sensors using Graphene ink/RFID's to relay information on distance travelled and even the way the wearer moves spotting injuries etc.

It's nice to see the full process of the evolution of the apparel side. As we can see each stage adds more in. 18 months from the first sign up to what looks like a build up to launch of products globally in the near future.

That is just one sector and it seems most major global brands are very interested.

I find is amazing that one brand is already thinking of a new type of football shoe no doubt based on the performance they have discovered by using graphene. I think that is pretty stunning, 1000s of idea get put forward within such global brands and few make the cut. Here we are with a new type of football shoe in play on the back of graphene, as they say shoe rather than boot, I'm intrigued.

It will be interesting to see how graphene enhanced fabrics are marketed. Clearly the word graphene will figure somewhere but can Versarien or some recognisable Versarien brand name be incorporated?

W L Gore, a privately owned company based primarily on ePTFE had, in 2017, revenue of over 3billion dollars.

So that sets out the news of the apparel manufacturer evolving into what we see now of many global brands in on the game to introduce graphene enhanced clothing and sportswear.

A NUMBER of well known global sports brands, not 2 or a few, a number.

From the web in the order of size, I've never heard of DKS (David Kerr sports) before

1) Nike.
2) Adidas.
3) UnderArmour.
4) DKS.
5) Puma.
6) Skechers.
7) Columbia Sportswear.

Well you can be sure if there is an advantage to be had for performance gain in the sports industry then its the top guys that want it.

So potential deals pending and products launched worldwide with a number of global sports brands and other global brands bringing better performing clothing and footwear to a market that thrives on the next new thing.

That's the market cap sorted and some all on it's own.

All I keep hearing is the potential is way beyond our imagination. So a quick look at that news yesterday piecing it altogether.

First up the original news

Graphene has enormous potential to enhance the properties of fabrics and can also be incorporated within them to enable 'smart clothing' to be developed. We are delighted to be working with this Partner who counts some of the world's leading apparel brands amongst their customers.

July 18

Fabric samples enhanced with graphene have been delivered which show a significant improvement in thermal conductivity of the fabric. Larger scale trials are underway which will include the required production process.

Aug 18 news same sector

pleased to announce that it has signed a collaboration with a prominent global sports and fashion goods manufacturer.

working on a number of projects involving the incorporation of Versarien's proprietary Nanene few layer graphene nano-platelets into polymer, leather, elastomer and textile structures.

the collaboration will aim to provide improved footwear and textile solutions aimed at the amateur and professional football sector, where the Company's partner has a global presence, with sponsorship of British, European and international top flight professional football clubs.

Dec 18

Apparel side

Commercial discussions in progress -masterbatch polymer blends to be trialled early January.

Football side

Samples and configured materials supplied to be compounded and tested in football boots.

July 19

First sample garments produced and independently tested to industry standards by a recognised UK based test house. The results show wide improvement in key areas when compared to a non-graphene garment. The key areas included abrasion resistance, moisture and air permeability, water vapour and thermal resistance, stretch, wicking and drying rate. A Second batch of garments is currently being produced and will go to other engagement partners for wearer trials.

Football side

Initial trials of a new Polygrene mix show significant improvement in outer soles with further development now underway. In addition, work has commenced on a new design for another variation of football shoe. Confirmation that this partner will also feature in the wearer trials for the garments referred to in the update with the global apparel manufacturer.

That bit links the sports company with the apparel news.

News yesterday LOI

develops and manufactures a range of different garments for well-known apparel brands globally.

follows successful independent tests carried out in the UK involving the incorporation of graphene into textiles via fabric finishes using Versarien's graphene ink technology

to enter into a formal commercial relationship regarding an initial launch of high performance sportswear. The LOI also commits both parties to further product development across different textiles and graphene delivery methods.

Further wearer trials are now underway with a number of well known global sports brands, along with other Partner customers.

Well the battle for VRS has been won. When I got home my wife after reading the latest news said "I really believe now it is going to happen"What a relief! The forward planning of the higher management is quite remarkable.Everything Neill has said has eventually happened. Considering the revolutionary nature of this market of course some things take longer than expected.I think this latest announcement and the confirmation AECOM is still onside has taken away the fear of some of the weaker holders which will mean the price is harder to manipulate now. Maybe the odd 5 or 10p swing but in the scheme of things who cares my wife is happy :)

Alchemy, at least worth more than £750K I should think. Ballpark figures based on Directa Plus supplying 80000 metres of textiles impregnated with their graphene nanoplatelets to Alfredo Grassi has resulted in approx £1.5M revenue for them so far.

The two RNS this week - one concerning commercialisation of Polygrene and the other of Graphinks- enhance VRS’ prospects sufficiently for me to have decided to add to my holdings for the first time at over 100p/share (other than in the placement in Sept 2018 at 145p when the over-subscription and general mood of euphoria rather swept me along). My feeling is that if the BIGT subscription can be contracted for satisfactorily at 150p/share that will provide support for that price level given the prospects thereby enhanced for Graphene in China.

VRS’ share price is definitely not a one-way bet but the reward/risk ratio at 130p is still attractive imo as commercialisation rolls onwards thereby further verifying VRS’ business model and its products/knowhow positioning.
