And the person a generation up from you would say the same when you were growing up. The same for the generation growing up now, they can say it in the future as well. I bet every generation ever has said that. Time for a change;)

I recall a London cop going on about the good old days walking to the police box for the info, that early turn was normally 22 cops at the nick. At the time he was telling us it was 5 at best.

Off we go flying down the high road in the Metro or River SD1. Short sleeve shirts nicely pressed hurtling towards the armed robbery gang with balaclavas and shotguns. The boys in blue armed with a good old truncheon and the bracelets. But we didn't give a F about the odds we would break our necks to try and get there and stop them, if we could collar one or two we would.

Flying squad boys if recovered from their hangover may turn up eventually to take over the scene.

A whole different world now, paperwork, H&S, full of bureaucracy and spineless managers. Oh and the European Human rights and RIPA (criminal protection laws)

A number of steps back would be whole load of steps forward.

How is it good honest folks are not having their doors kicked in or stopped constantly for drugs. How is it the good folks pay for the bad.

How did crooks become the victims and victims become the crooks. The system is totally f'd.

Alchemy

As in the videos call going onto the fire imo.

At some point up to steam then the good old wheels spinning on the over-power as it starts to move, then the full steam ahead, whistles dominating any sound in the air.

So other get on the train, get off the track or wait for the train to stop at your station if there is enough room left on it for more passengers on standard class, some may have to pay first class.

There will be some on the track when it comes, they are wilfully deaf and blind.

Least those percentages are pretty small SG, the wayward youth, the club carrying burglar. In my day the Park Keeper was the first respected level of authority, the uniformed copper was that level of safety and well being that wouldn't be crossed. Change shouldn't mean a reduction in security and the feeling of safety. A walk of 4 miles from town late at night was pretty normal in my late teens. The young still seem to do it, so is a lot of it perception?BTW, Boris's notion to "Eviscerate" the Trumpileaks culprit was far more heinous than Joe Brands battery acid quip on "Heresy", a comedy show. Should be shouted out for condoning disembowelment before the watershed.

- but a shame it is posted here and not somewhere more relevant.

It becomes impossible to keep a thread on topic (in accordance with thread host's previous requests) when same thread host so often goes off-topic and opens floodgates.

Just for the record

The best of the IOF family are very much VRS family, they are some of the biggest PI shareholders in VRS, in fact one or two are the biggest PI holders.

They just don't come on here saying how many they own.

Without the IOF family migration there wouldn't be such strong supporters at the top end imo.

It's to be embraced not reviled.

Too many (not you) apply what they do and their level of suspicion to others here who are genuine.

The fact is a small percentage on ADVFN are actually genuine long term investors in companies. ADVFN is dominated by the herd and chancers who at times use deceit for personal gain.

I know I don't do that, I have a growing band of investors with similar views and as of yesterday once more we discussed migrating elsewhere as time goes on for sensible chat and group research on companies.

ADVFN is a cesspit, but it's the best option for now.

Just for the avoidance of doubt yes I would support the death sentence for the most heinous of crimes obviously with the proviso of absolutely no doubt of guilt, solid verifiable confessions included.

When you become inhuman then you have no right imo to be treated like one.

Human rights.

Did you know that if you insisted a prisoner clean up the mess he deliberately made, faeces or unrine etc, then you would be guilty of Torture under the human rights act.

Under RIPA when you see that Burglar out there with his jemmy and mask roaming the streets at night, if you want to covertly follow him to see what he does and catch him trying to break into a house, then complicated forms have to be filled in and authorities sought.

All courtesy of a lefty world gone absolutely frigging mad.

And we wonder why youths of today are wandering the streets with knives doing wtf they like.

All a copper had to say years ago to a youth was "I'll tell your dad" compliance and apologies quickly followed.

Rant over.
