davemac.. this may help you.

"Successful commercialisation of graphene materials requires not only the ability to produce graphene to a declared specification, but to be able to do so at a commercial scale.

"There are many companies that claim to be graphene producers, but to enjoy the benefits that this material can deliver requires high quality, consistent product to be supplied. The Verified Producer programme is designed to verify that our production facilities, processes and tested material meet the stringent requirements laid down by the Graphene Council.

I think the 3 ton is for pure graphene. Maybe wrong but the products made from it will be a LOT heavier.

1retire,

If NR chooses to tweet a 7 y.o. photo of this bint when she's 8 mths preggers as his 'look who I hired' announcement then don't be surprised when people ask 'Is she pregnant?'

Frankly, you would think someone like NR who basically lives on twitter, spending the majority of his day on share promotion BS, would be more careful.

HTH.

superg, as you are talking about production, do you know what the yield is for Nanene production or HP-GNP production? I asked Neill on Twitter and he was a bit vague so I guess it may not be public knowledge. The 3T per annum of production was for "graphene products" whatever that means. The patent gives very little info on this matter. It may be something VRS don't want to divulge but I think folks saying VRS can produce 3T of Nanene per year or 3T of HP-GNP may be incorrect. My understanding is they are fractions from the same process, you may be able to tweak conditions to favour one form or another but I am pretty sure alot of the material from a batch run will not be of such a high standard.

I see a few clowns still mocking Versarien's Japanese graphene order and comparing it with other suppliers "selling hundreds of tons."

I wonder if they would be able to distinguish gold from brass?
For the price of 1kg of gold I think you can get around 14,000kg of brass.
It can look quite similar ;-)

Chumbo - big difference between lab / test samples in little bottles and industrial quantities in containers, lorries etc ... when it comes to transporting hence a) why VRS global expansion is to create local manufacturing in USA, China, Japan, S Korea & India for where partners are b) create graphene as powders, inks, and masterbatched with polymers to ease transportation. NR clear that they could transport from UK manufacturing site to partners in Western Europe so obviously it does travel, but you need to manage those transport costs and risks of agglomeration.

be aware there is a lot of fake graphene out there.

"It is alarming to uncover that producers are labelling black powders as graphene and selling them for top dollar, while in reality, they contain mostly cheap graphite.
