In THAT scenario I'd tell the U.K. Government and AECOM to F#@K off, and we'll concentrate our efforts in countries who can actually crack on and make a decision. We only have limited Human Resources and Technology at VRS, so let's employ it where the rewards are more tangible.

In that scenario AECOM probably having to wait to get TFL budget approval given Crossrail overrun.

I believe that transport for london as the ultimate end client is probably delaying the contract going live until they fully understand the costs re Brexit and tariffs / changes to iOS costs which is what NR is referring to as the customer (aecom) or their customer (TFL).

Dave - agreed - hope and expect are essentially the same though.

Actually the RNS states "the companies expect to make further announcements in Q1". The key here is compan-IES. So both aecom and VRS expected to announce Q1 but for the reasons i've stated and no doubt Brexit uncertainty this has not been possible. Actually Neill was more cautious with his direct wording and said "we look forward to making further announcements on this project in the new year"

I do not see this as an error of judgement but an attempt to be as transparent with his shareholders as possible, which is his MO.

mjatkin82,

If you are going to correct somebody at least get it right! The RNS says

"the companies expect to make further announcements in Q1 2019"

expects not hopes

mjatkin82 - “The error of judgement by NR, suggesting HE HOPED for an order update re Aecom in Q1, is growing by the day” Better for you?

For the record, though Neill did say BX would not affect VRS plans. He later said it was the main factor in the delay of the expected order. Check his Twitter feed around the time of end March if you don't believe me. International companies in particular are affected by this as they don't know what the playing field will look like in the near term. Big problems from 'the party of business' playing it's own debating society games with our futures. Scuse the rant but I am so disgusted with our Gov.
I am also frustrated to hell about the delay of this order.

Bill- Whilst I appreciate bearish views saying things like “The error of judgement by NR suggesting an order update re Aecom in Q1 is growing by the day” is a simple tactic to spread a bit of fear and factually incorrect. The RNS clearly states “hope” to give an update. This has not been possible as it’s at the mercy of the customer, customer’s customer, planners and regulatory sign off. Hence the word “hope”. As stated, the Aecom deal appears to have grown arms and legs which increases the red tape but for surely greater reward. Now, Bill you bought back at the beginning of March so should be up at least 25% in less than 2 months. In that time we have had a mega term signing with China and verified as THE FIRST AND ONLY graphene producer in the world. Stop your subtle deramping and scaremongering. You have clearly sold again. If I’m wrong then please quit the silly comments and enjoy the ride with everyone else.

No luck needed here 'mate,' fully confident in my investment in Versarien as I have been since 10p. If that changes I will sell up and I won't bleat about it on a BB ;-)

If seeing facts isn't pleasing to you, perhaps just keep your head down, but every fact in my last post was correct.

1) The share price is indeed lower than before the chinese announcement

2) The CEO did indeed get a price close to the top, and he did indeed and he did indeed activate options on 307K of shares @ 29p and sell them for 136p on the same day that the chinese agreement was made public. It was indeed a "nice bit of business".

3) The business model is predominantly unproven. You can consider and plan for production and upscaling all you want, but it is only when you actually hit production and attempt to upscale that'll you discover issues that were either thought not important, or of which you were totally unaware.

4) I might add that the CEOs business is not the cause of the share price fall-off. One could suggest that some significant holders took the rise in share price as an opportunity to sell. Now SuperG1 "research" has told him categorically that the 145p offer price some months ago was not a barrier, but seems to an "unresearched" guy like me that the chinese news giving the share price a temp bump closer to that level was enough for some to sell. The current share price would certainly make it hard to argue that people dived into VRS on the back of the announcement.

5) For the record, I have more VRS now than at any time. I do recall being roundly lambasted in Sept for not holding all my 145p acquired shares, but rather ultimately getting some free shares, by taking the profit. Some filtered me, some called me a "short term thinker" (ummm share price the day I sold was 181, if I wanted to I could buy those shares today for a circa 30% discount,). Others wished they had money to partake in the 145p offer, they've gone quiet. Now if the share price had shot up to £3 immediately after the offer would I had regreted not holding those extra shares, of course, but as someone I know says, with shares it is generally the case that you either have far too many or nowhere near enough.

No one on here is an orcale that knows everything, regardless of their own opinion of themselves. Thankfully, the "they must all be on drugs" incessant positivity that existed on here seems to have been diluted with a decent sense of realism this last while.

An announcement of a meaningful order would be a significant impetus to the share price at this time.

OK Tim, I'm saying you are entitled to your own opinion. You must be rather lacking in confidence here if you feel anything I have queried is capable of producing a price move. I guess I should feel honoured that you think my opinion would mean so much. Good luck mate ;-)

Tim3416 - I shouldn't rise to it but you are suggesting that it is only traders that could possibly query things the company has stated which have not yet materialised? I hope that attitude works well for you.

Nice one Teepee, unfortunately like Fest and others I'm all in trying my best to wait patiently for the news we all hope for while watching my portfolio value diminish. Patience is the key, patience is the key, I find myself reciting.
