06/3/2019 08:37 | Good morning spid - I would like to tip VRS to you as a good investment. The quality of the collaborations is second to none. China has verified the quality of nanene. In addition, Lipeng Wang, Chairman and CEO of Tunghsu Optoelectronic, commented: "Versarien is a leading company and operator in the graphene field in the UK. China has a huge market potential for graphene industrialisation and commercialisation. If I was you spid, I'd buy VRS. Could I also please ask that you post FGR stuff on the FGR BB! | harrysol
06/3/2019 08:34 | mikebrenner (post 62697) On the 'Ban shorting on AIM' thread I have added a paragraph to the header, noting that not everyone wants a ban, and that parliamentary debate (should that ever happen) may well result in something less than a ban but might prompt tighter rules against nefarious manipulation - particularly the distribution of false information. Some of the backers of the Conservative Party are financial institutions that facilitate shorting, and some I guess move in circles where they might have the ear of Philip May - so the prospect of an outright ban whenever they are in power is low imo. That said, a petition calling for anything less than a ban is in my view unlikely to drum up enough signings to bring any debate in The House at all. | ![]() grabster

06/3/2019 07:59 | Did anyone notice that the FDEV CEO has signed the petition and has posted on Twitter? In fact it seems to be getting quite a lot of attention on Twitter. We might be pleasantly surprised at how many people eventually sign although I doubt we'll get anywhere near 100k. | ![]() foolishben

06/3/2019 07:50 | I don't have level 2 but Its usually because not all MM's have set their bid and offer prices. This means that the bis and offer price of the MM's that are further off the mark are displayed instead | ![]() chimpandy1

06/3/2019 07:49 | In the past I have often bought before 8am. Sometimes the telephone broker would say, "it's not 8am yet!" and I'd reply "but the MMs are there and open" and the trade would go through. | ![]() chopsy
06/3/2019 07:48 | PS it also gets dropped before simply rising for open. Dont panic its just AIM cobblers. | robinhood69
06/3/2019 07:47 | It does happen quite a bit in "daily trend shares" ie those who have seen high interest. I ignore it until 15 mins after open as its just a poor play to get people excited. Fear of missing out on a big rise for those who cant let it go. | robinhood69
06/3/2019 07:40 | Anyone know why yesterday and again today, vrs bid/offer has changed well in advance of the stock market opening ? Currently the offer price is “up” to 115, with advfn therefore showing the mid price up 4p. I don’t recall seeing this on any aim share before. Is it some shenanigans by an MM to make it look like VRS is active prior to market open ? | ![]() twatcher

06/3/2019 07:30 | mike you may have a pension that invests in a company in which you hold shares. your pension provider loans out stock in that company and your shares fall in value by 50% based on nothing except misinformation and manipulation. then you have an urgent need for cash that you can access only by selling your shares. happy? or the mm are nakedly shorting a stock with full insider knowledge of stops in place and you get stopped out in a ram raid while you are at work. happy? i could go on. | ![]() adejuk
06/3/2019 07:12 | Haven't signed ... I have no problem with shorting as it provides a useful function in the wider market identifying bad management and companies more often than not as well as providing liquidity. My issue is with credit / leverage esp in illiquid small caps and the FCA not clamping down on obvious gangs spreading misinformation or using inside information to manipulate the market. | ![]() mikebrenner
