It's probably not even that Ellis as I'm sure we can produce any quality of graphene or any type of composite to order whereas the 3d lot don't have the choice.

For the avoidance of doubt I am still bearish on Graphene shares and in particular Versarien. I regard VRS as largely a stock promotion.

To date VRS after many years of collaborations have sold virtually none of their product. They have also managed to scale their production ability very slowly compared to competitors. Even now it's only around 1kg/day (although we have been told for months this should rise a little soon). There is evidence that their method of production (mechanical exfoliation) does not scale easily and does not produce high yields.

The shares trade at a huge premium to most other graphene shares of between 5-10x of other Graphene companies.

The CEO is hugely promotional and seems to spend almost all his time trying to boost and promote the share price rather than anything else. Most recent evidence is a stream of non-regulatory RNSs, cosy chats down the pub, and a constant barrage of fluffy near meaningless drivel on Twitter (although I don't read it all).

VRS provide very little content on updates with collaborations. No real numbers. A one or two page summary of all collaborations with a few sentences on each is not an update. This is in stark comparison with competitors.

This Advfn board is more like an online boiler room than a real discussion forum of Versarien. It is run and moderated by @superg who shows every trait of a stock promoter.

There is large and growing evidence that the price of Graphene Nano-Platelets of which Nanene is a class has fallen dramatically. Prices seem to be in the range $50-200/kg. The bulls counter this with their quality argument stating that Nanene is far superior quality. Yet none of the many collaborators have shown any real commitment to hit by placing a large order. Further spec sheets published by VRS show no major advantage and in some ways the product looks inferior e.g. specific surface area.

VRS provide no guidance on pricing - not even a price range. This contrasts to other companies. Speculation of prices up to 1000x higher than other companies appear on this board. The CEO seems happy to allow this.

Other companies who have had some success in sales seem to be struggling in the sector e.g. XGS (who have not hit targets), Talga who have not seen much progress in sales, Haydale who seem to be going bust, FGR have not floated on AIM as they said they will yet although it could still happen etc. etc.

BTW

HNR

I have a severe dislike for that company after a number of lies came out (and some other bits never revealed).

I'm not sure if anyone is in that, I haven't looked for ages. I just had a quick look re their wells which I had as eventual duds (severe decline) after checking the area.

If I am to believe the Cogcc website data the wells they had have been shut in as have recently new wells drilled by the operator that took on the major share.

The above assumes Cogcc data is correct. They record data as it's submitted each month for every well.

HNR have no mention of the shut in wells.

I'd be keen to meet up afterwards for drinks/food/chat. Maybe someone familiar with Manchester can recommend a good pub close by?

Club, does this Q and A off the website help:

"Peter
Hi -
Do the earphones work via Bluetooth as well? If not, is there a Bluetooth version planned?
Best regards

15/12/2018
- These are wired earphones, however, you can plug them into a Bluetooth adapter.
- If the reason you are asking is because your phone doesn't have a 3.5 mm earphone jack, we would recommend using a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter cable or a 3.5mm to Apple Lightning port adapter cable (depending on whether you use an Android or Apple phone). They are effective and affordable.
- We do intend to bring out Bluetooth earphones in 2019, however, it will not be in the next few months for sure."

Even VoxMarkets (like it or not) started covering VRS:

Versarien’s moves in China should be closely followed, then, as the company forges ahead not only in the semi-metals industry but also moves to the front of growing Sino-British business.

Any interest................

NanoXplore have made a large statement with a 10,000 tpa capacity plant due online by 2021.
They state that one of their key markets is corrugated plastic pipes.

Just received my MD ear buds. What a sound and outperforms my Bose Quiet Comfort. I thought my hearing quality had deteriorated with age but regardless, it brings a fresh crisp sound to my music. Full marks Callum.
