Last word: so the Conservative Party gets a second bite of the cherry at being led by a PM who can deliver Brexit, but the British people don't get a second chance to change their mind about Leaving?

Rank hypocrisy. Still, what do you expect from Tory scum?

Anyway, I agree that that's quite enough about Brexit. Back to VRS, and the way the share price always seems to flatline about this time of the afternoon...

"disruptive innovation"

First 3D printed bridge put in use in Shanghai

A 15 m long 3D printed bridge made from resin and composite materials has been open to pedestrians in Taopu Park in Shanghai. The bridge has benefited from 3D printing technology developed by the State-owned Shanghai Construction Group.

"What is special about this bridge is its disruptive innovation in terms of materials and construction processes”, explains Chen Xiaoming, deputy chief engineer of Shanghai Construction Group, who says that the choice of materials was key. After many comparisons and tests, the construction team finally selected an addition of a certain proportion of glass fiber in ASA (an engineering plastic), as well as anti-aging materials, so that the bridge has high weather resistance and high impact strength. It can withstand long-term sun and rain, while meeting the requirements of 3D printing materials and building materials. It has been ensured that the strength and durability of the bridge are in line with national construction industry standards.
"The bridge has a service life of up to 30 years. It can carry 250 kg per square meter, equivalent to a minimum of 4 adults per square meter passing by at the same time”, adds Chen Xiaoming.
3D printing is not only a new way of building, but also a subversion of the traditional architectural model, says the Shanghai Construction Group in a press release. “In the bridge 3D printing site, the printing robot left the scene clean and tidy, without dust and construction waste. In addition to the reduction of human costs and the promotion of green construction, the entire bridge printing process only took less than 40 days: intelligent construction has made a big leap ahead in terms of speed.”
There is a precedent for printing a bridge with 3D technology. In July last year, Tongji University in Shanghai had the world's first set of 3D printed walking bridges, with two bridges spanning respectively 4 and 11 meters. At the time, however, the two bridges were used only for display, unlike the bridge in Taopu Park which has just been open to public use.

SENDEN...Understanding ones position is not knowing ones place. There is a significant semantic distinction let alone the emotive one. Yes, best leave it alone as the effort of finding all those big, psycho-babble words will leave you exhausted. I do not have any concerns about my integration thank you and remain friends with brexiteers (some of whom have at least realised their folly)

I remember the good old days when the UK was reasonably sane - before the liars, the fantasists, the disaster capitalists, the fascists, the charlatans, the spivs, the blustering fools and the traitors tore it apart...

.......................................................................

Are you referring to the good old 70's when the unions and the fascist liberals tried to bring down governments and bankrupt the country so they could convert us to communism.
Oh yes they were certainly the good old days.
Fool.

"Should have had an independent panel to present for and against arguments"

you're probably right, but that was never going to happen on such an emotive topic.

Whole thing shouldn't have been politicised in the first place, it was a constitutional matter and not one for party politics and agendas.

Should have had an independent panel to present for and against arguments.

My 10p.

Knowing your place came from your own post Shevlin (now, apparently, conveniently edited), unless you've forgotten, as you seek to generalise about the British people and our attitudes. Arrogant, chip-on-the-shoulder stuff as usual - you seem to grapple with your own evident cultural alienation issues. Perhaps you label the local masses as "ignorant" in order to make yourself feel better about your own deficiencies, or lack of any meaningful authentic integration into UK society...a psycho-linguistic case study if ever there were one... no matter, you have my sympathies, but enough time wasted

johnny come lately, can't afford a subscription, SENDEN. Know my place? What would that be? Is the number after your name your age or IQ? Did you manage to read all the big multi-syllable words in the links on WTO rules that I posted? Do you have the capacity to read something a little more difficult than a Marvel comic? If so I would recommend Heroic Failure by Fintan O'Toole. In fact I would recommend it to everyone who has a brain and is prepared to put their prejudices to one side. The main problem with British people is that they don't even know their own history. In a recent survey
when asked to identify historic events from the First World War, 16 per cent of millennials incorrectly listed Pearl Harbour, 8 per cent Independence Day, 7 per cent the Battle of Hastings, and 4 per cent the Great Fire of London.
What price democracy in the land of the pig ignorant.

I will say no more and hope to make enough money on VRS to make sure I don't have to live amongst them ever again.

With regard to GSK starting a cycling team SuperG I don't think it will impact Sky as they are already teamed up with another sponsor - see below.

GSK-Deliveroo Pro Cycling Team

Main Sponsors: Spotting a gap in the market vacated by British Cycling and Team Sky, GSK and Deliveroo have teamed up to fund a professional cycling team catering for the pelotons late night pharmaceutical delivery needs.

Financial Model: We all know money is tight, especially for new teams, so marginal financial gains will have to be made wherever possible.

Riders will be self-employed, as such they will not be recognized as employees and will have no workers rights (insurance, pensions, holiday, sick leave etc etc).

If called upon, riders must be available 24/7 for the after hours food, drink and asthma pump deliveries for a few extra ££.

A cycling-fan delivery app will be developed with eateries and bars along the stage route. Simply place an order before the peloton rides through. Pick your favourite rider. He will pick up the order and deliver to you en-route to the stage win. Variable tariffs based on gradient and average speed
