29/11/2018 09:24 | Hadn't noticed but yesterdays biggish sell has been published 09:26:06 115.00 100,000 Sell* Won't speculate as to what or why but does explain where Berenger picked up some from, as superg mentioned new market makers need to sell as well as buy but would suggest the selling they do is behind the scenes to their buyer? | luckyorange
29/11/2018 09:24 | Isn't it good to know the Government are going to spend £50 billion plus on ONE project - HS2 - for a couple of thousand businessmen a day while the rest of the network is 3rd world. How many foreign visitors will ever see HS2 but will go home having experienced our overcrowded routes. 'Rolling stock in the UK is more than 25 years old on average, so there is an urgent need to update equipment. UK rail operators will procure £35 billion of new equipment and services over the next 15 years' £50 billion v £35 billion. Ridiculous. | willoicc

29/11/2018 09:19 | Shavian - your good deed could have turned out badly. With a Loglorry mentality, had the cup handle broken and spilled tea into his crotch he would have tried to sue you for the tea being too hot. | dgduncan

29/11/2018 09:07 | "PUBLIC RELEASE: 3-AUG- Institute of Railway Research takes key role in £92 million rail tech network UNIVERSITY OF HUDDERSFIELD "THE NEW CENTRE WILL FORM PART OF THE UK RAILWAY RESEARCH AND INNOVATION NETWORK." "THE Institute of Railway Research (IRR) at the University of Huddersfield is to play a key role in a £92 million network aimed at establishing the UK as a world leader in rail technology. Experts at the IRR, working with other universities and major manufacturers, will develop rolling stock that lasts longer, is more energy efficient and is less costly to maintain, leading to major environmental and economic gains. Research funding of almost £30 million will flow into the IRR. "It's the largest contract that we have had so far and will lead to a real step change in our capabilities," said its Director, Professor Simon Iwnicki. The Institute already has state-of-the-art facilities, including a £4.5 million test rig that is unique in Europe. But now it will expand further, enabling larger and more diverse railway vehicle system components to be delivered to the IRR for research and testing. New facilities will include an extended range of full-scale advanced test rigs to accelerate the adoption of new technology for the next generation of rolling stock. The funding comes via the newly-announced UK Railway Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN), in which University of Huddersfield is a partner. Following a bid led by the University of Birmingham, UKRRIN has been awarded £28.1 million from the UK Research Partnership Investment Fund and this is boosted by £64 million of support from 17 industrial partners including Alstom, Siemens and Bombardier Transportation. UKRRIN will consist of three linked world-class centres of excellence, which share the total £92 million funding. One is the IRR at Huddersfield, which will be the home of a new Rolling Stock Innovation Centre. With contributions from specialists at the University of Newcastle and from Loughborough University, it will focus on high value rolling stock systems, whole life asset optimisation and through-life management, and energy management." | ellissj

29/11/2018 09:01 | We had a delivery of logs in nets yesterday, which arrived on - you guessed it - a Loglorry. The delivery driver turned out to be one of the most unhelpful people I’ve met in a long while. ‘I’m only authorised for kerbside delivery’ ‘Sorry, can’t help you in with them, I’ve got a bad back, my insurance won’t cover me’ etc etc. So I carted them in myself in the rain, net by net. I then noticed that the loglorry was still there, with the driver skulking behind it, trying to keep out of my way. He eventually admitted that his lorry had just broken down and would not start. He was still there waiting for the mechanic hours later, so we took Mr Loglorry a cup of tea. I’m sure there’s a parable in there for us somewhere, or at least an omen. | shavian
29/11/2018 08:58 | I agree that the burn rate at HAYD is out of control against short term revenues. Enough has been said regarding the FGR Director payments. Amazing the FGR headline yesterday against the actual facts. No AIM Nomad would approve that announcement...surel | chillpill

29/11/2018 08:42 | I looked at Haydale and First Graphene a few weeks ago on their cash position. Both need cash by the end of Q1 2019. FGR have said that will quote on AIM this year which implies a fund raise in next couple of weeks. | chillpill

29/11/2018 08:35 | @luckyorange Haydale are in a very precarious financial position. Today's order was not material. Inks are about 10pc Graphene eg 100g/L The order was about 10kg of Graphene. At normal prices of around $200/kg that's $2k worth of Graphene plus obviously a good markup for the ink IP. It would have been a big vote of confidence if VRS had supplied the Graphene mind you. | loglorry1
29/11/2018 08:33 | Guess which stock is my only red one today!!!!! Low volumes are not helping our share price - hopefully it will pick up later. | cheek212
