26/11/2018 07:54 | AD63 - yeah, but when? How can it be that so much is going on, they have so many collabs and so many fingers in do many pies, and yet to date this year, the largest order we've been told about is a pathetic 1Kg and - so far as we've been told - they haven't sold *any* graphinks? | club sandwich

26/11/2018 00:43 | Really interesting article on how Qantas and Virgin Atlantic are trying to save fuel. The potential for graphene in aeroplanes is massive. 'The airline developed a range of business-class cutlery, crockery and glassware which was 11 per cent lighter - shaving about 244 kilograms off each aircraft and saving 535,000 kilograms of fuel a year.' | ![]() fitzy89
25/11/2018 21:00 | Hmm. Re Shareprophets. If he's to be taken at face value, Lucian Miers doesn't really have a lot at stake - he says shares are hard to borrow. He also says Neill 'should lay off twitter, stop appearing on the Clown show and devote his time to his job. Until he does that, I am more than happy to remain short.' Hardly a reasoned bear case based on knowledge of the sector, potential cost savings, value of the IP, DTI secondees, the derisking or knowledge of partners. Frankly I agree with him on the cosmetic issues: no need for Neill to work so hard plugging the company when his achievements speak for themselves, and while I like Vox's 'Clown show' I don't think he needs one interview per RNS. I'm sure he'll be too busy to do so soon, and then hopefully we'll see the end of Miers' somewhat... impressionistic short thesis. Still reckon the IP alone here is worth about 2bn at present. | ![]() runthejoules
25/11/2018 19:31 | Serratia, and I think that’s an important point. Production capacity You can have production capacity of 3tpa or 90,000tpa but unless you can run annual production at or near capacity the feasibility study to increase production, operational costs and therefore end of year losses seems pointless. It will only serve to increase shareholder dilution as they wont benefit from high annual salaries or favourable options.(Management) VRS have had a conservative approach to expenditure and wouldn’t be increasing capacity in the U.K. if they weren’t confident of seeing a return on investment imo. We are all aware of the international expansion plans and the respective production facility, at this stage we can only guess at capacity, but again it will be a considered investment with one eye on a return on investment with the above in mind. Another reason for my excitement. | ![]() diversification
25/11/2018 19:08 | anley, 49961 re who's selling FLG. I looked at the ones that hit the header recently. Elcora doing nothing, XG Sciences sell a little to Calloway for golf balls but that looks like a marketing gimmick for Calloway, Nanoxplore have sales but it's not Graphene. They bought an injection moulding company and a composite company. Their sales haven't increased so all sales are from the purchased companies. They had a 4 tpa plant in 2015 so no sales evident since that time. The plant was expanded to 25 tpa by the start of this year. I have a copy of their feasibility plan showing their process and costs for a 10,000 tpa plant. I guess it will only get built if they manage to get sales from their 25 tpa plant first. FGR are at the start of the journey, we'll have to see if they can make progress. If anyone can suggest a competitor with FLG sales I'll look into it. | ![]() serratia
25/11/2018 18:52 | For me, the Times article has done VRS a favour. The Chinese have done their due diligence and have confirmed that VRS have world leading graphene. I am satisfied with that verification. At some stage, the fake producers will be exposed and only a hand full of genuine graphene producers will be left. A big revaluation is coming and VRS will be one of the winners. Dyor. | harrysol |
