18/7/2018 20:49 | Once the NPL have their characterisation out there it will be a clear picture of the value and use of the products in industry sectors. Aristotle Persuasion is achieved by the speaker's personal character when the speech is so spoken as to make us think him credible. We believe good men more fully and more readily than others: this is true generally whatever the question is, and absolutely true where exact certainty is impossible and opinions are divided. | ![]() fireball xl5
18/7/2018 20:42 | Super21667 post What a problem it is we all have!! I feel exactly the same way and could not have put it better . Vrs is constantly evolving so our view is also . Best wishes ff | forestfred
18/7/2018 20:42 | Whilst it's most likely that Neill was meeting a/some Spaniard/s today it's not a foregone conclusion. There has been more than one case of Brits meeting in Spain because it's cheaper than meeting in the UK by rail. Here's the first one I found on Google: www.telegraph.co.uk/ So basically he could have met anyone from anywhere in Europe that budget airlines fly from. Realistically of course he would have met someone from or based in Spain. | ![]() sandbag
18/7/2018 20:40 | Dafad - Interesting chap. And some history with interior trim procurement at Jaguar Landrover too. In which case previously known to NR from a couple of years ago? | ![]() grabster
18/7/2018 20:33 | I think your view is a sensible one cdub although I did think that you had lost the plot with the AAC scenario a while back it is ballsy to buy 40,000 late in the day prior to results. As it happens VRS is not into overbought territory at the moment so seems like a reasonable risk to me. Good post DAFAD, more likely to be battery tech and unlikely to be structural components as NR has been very clear in the past that Nanene in aero would most likely be used in non structural components i.e. seats , trolleys etc; As we are fully aware HMG is backing VRS to the hilt, they need it to succeed as does GB. Haydale losing the battle and AGM never got off the ground. | ![]() luckyorange
18/7/2018 20:30 | NR doesn't do BS, neither does Matt, David Kerr, Chris Leigh or other VRS guys. AIM punters are used to BS but continually fall for it repeatedly. When they are happy and enthusiastic it's with good reason. They have been very happy and very enthusiastic for some time now. China to me is becoming pretty much just one deal on a long list. | ![]() superg1
18/7/2018 20:26 | sonsonny I and just 1 or 2 friends have some. We all think it will do very well and potentially many multiples of now. The biggest fear we have currently is getting out early based on the enormous potential. So the answer is simple. If it hits £3 or £5 etc, then my thoughts would be why it has got there. What has caused the rise. It in theory would be down to progress, a run of good news, licensing, supply deal, a JV partner appearing taking a big chunk of shares and so on. Who would have forecast a top guy in the DIT in VRS..... not me. So each time I try to understand it off it goes again and the potential ramps up. So I rather hang in there than look back in a few years on where it could be. Some could end up or are in those circs already. EG some individuals have missed on £10 mill windfall by leaving early. I bet they curse each day. Check VRS share ownership history. What if it did go £10 plus and that moment of madness is a £100 mill error for them, ouch. £2-£3 is my H2 forecast if the news keeps rolling along, news in theory will get bigger as time goes on. Some flipped 100's of 1000's in the primarybid fund raise for a few pence if you listen to mates of theirs. So the 10% hit cost some £250k-£5 In other words no target. My expectation pre xmas was 35p and a target of £1-£1.50 within 2 years as an share price not a sell point. Things have materially changed for the good since those thoughts. I thought this looked like a winner pre any of the big news through 100's of hours of research. It seems the UOM, Cambridge, CPI, Cameron, Osborne, May, a host of huge names, the NGA and a world superpower agree. Plus some very pleasant solid PIs. So why have a target it's impossible to predict just how high this one could go. Matt wants it to be a UK revenue earner and job creator as a world lead in advanced 2d materials. That statement doesn't equate to £1.30 per share. So on that basis it's a tad different to my first visit when VRS were squatting somewhere down in the Forest of Dean | ![]() superg1
18/7/2018 20:19 | The trading pattern recently has been fairly predictable. The market makers drop the price quite sharply when they see some retail selling-which is usually in the first hour. I believe one of the big buyers has, over the past week, had a price limit with a market maker at the 130p level. In the knowledge of this they "shake the tree" to get the price back to the buying zone which invariably also creates more sales from the nervous trader types which then helps them get more stock for their buyer. That's part of the reason why traders generally lose money. The Market makers know where the flow is coming from. I have a good idea where some of the buying is coming from and I don't think they just want 1 or 2m shares but dyor etc. etc. | ![]() chillpill
18/7/2018 20:17 | Apologies to you ff - probably my pre-final nerves! I am pleased that after such patience VRS is now bringing such rewards for you and will continue to do so - VRS is surely on the cusp of great things. Like you (and most on this board), I would never doubt the current prospects of VRS or the ability / integrity of NR (or the team) - or for them to look after our interests as shareholders. Apologies again for the shortness of my post. Once I pressed 'post reply' I thought whoops. All the best to you. | anotherdrink
18/7/2018 20:17 | Cdub - think Neil and the team know that, he described it as a race to the start line. If that relaxes you at all | ![]() sonsonnyjim
18/7/2018 20:09 | Of course there are other companies in the race but chillax, we're front runners and this is a huge market. | ![]() woodpeckers
18/7/2018 20:08 | Super, haven't got a few mil invested (I wish!) just a paltry sum compared to the big boys but enough to scorch a bit if it all goes south. All I can say is nothing in this world is certain but I have full faith in NR and team and have well and truly done my homework with this one, so I am at the very least optimistic about VRS. I didn't mean the price will crash tomorrow what would have been better terminology is the word "slump", and this will gradually occur by the year end (whether we like it or not) IF the goods are not delivered (just like AGM). We are in a race against time and I am on team Versarien but I am not following religion Versarien. There will be other companies, people and countries working around the clock who could potentially usurp us in this critical stage, that is why a deal or ISO is so important. | cdub1
18/7/2018 20:05 | cdub, get out quick man, this share isn't for you ... Scooby tells me everything is fine and no surprises is fine by me.. :-) | ![]() woodpeckers
18/7/2018 20:04 | The NPL have probably being characterising Graphene with a view to providing accurate and consistent measurement and assessment of products currently in the market place. Having worked with some on another project, they manage their criteria and quantify their measurement peramters on the product to be assessed and the industry/consumer requirement. So a great deal of background work will already be available before committing to provide consistent characteristics of Graphene products. There is possibly data and observations available sooner than some think. | ![]() fireball xl5

18/7/2018 19:50 | "Airbus operations in Spain, employing approximately 3,400 employees, produces the horizontal stabilisers for the entire range of Airbus commercial aircraft at its facilities in Getafe, Illescas, and Puerto Real, among other components. Getafe (in the Madrid region) is responsible for designing, engineering and manufacturing of components for all Airbus aircraft. They include the horizontal stabiliser for the double-deck A380 jetliner; the assembly and testing of the horizontal stabilisers for the widebody A350 XWB and A330, as well as for the single-aisle A320 Family. This site also is responsible for producing the two sections that comprise the A380’s tail cone, as well as the A350 XWB’s tail cone." If it's them that NR was visiting and making friends with, that would do nicely. On top of collaborations with Israel Aerospace Industries, and GE Aviation. Plus the Total Carbide subsidiary also involved with Rolls Royce Aero Engines. | ![]() grabster

18/7/2018 19:27 | extremely odd - and extremely unlikely, cdub1.. A company's share price might crash on bad news - but would be expected to merely drift or merely dip on delays in good news. Delays in good news don't create crashes. Your use of drama-queen terminology doesn't belong here. | ![]() grabster
