When I were a young lad, many a black-and-white western featured a scene in which a dozen red indians had been chased off by the cowboys who now sat around their campfire hoping they were rid of them for good. After a long, long silence with no sign of them returning a single indian on horseback would quietly appear on top of a ridge. Then half a dozen more. Then suddenly hundreds of them all along the ridge, and down they would race, a-hollering and a shouting.

Feels a bit like that when a share price flatlines awhile ;-)

Most CEOs the day before release of results would normally be up to their eyes ensuring they have full detailed understanding of results and possible analysts questions and answers are well thought through and fully covered for a verbal response. To fly to Madrid for a meeting/conference shouldnt be taken lightly, I expect its for something pretty substantial otherwise it could have waited until Friday.
