Its not a drug. Testing wont need to be too long. Nothing negative or dangerous for the patient.

A recap on those.

As I said before Cambridge graphene (VRS) have been working with Nokia.

EG

Researchers at the Cambridge Graphene Centre, in a collaboration that includes Emberion, have developed a novel graphene-based infrared (IR) detector with record high sensitivity for thermal detection.

For this project, collaborators included the Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona and the University of Ioannina in Greece, as well as Nokia UK and Emberion, who are local industrial partners of the Cambridge Graphene Centre.

Then Unilever

Graphene Sensors for Food Allergen Detection

Exceptional electronic properties, surface sensitivity and selectivity, makes graphene sensors ideal for foodsafety applications. Novel, generic, real- time monitoring sensor technology, based on chemically modifiedgraphene channels, will be demonstrated for the detection of peanut allergens in food products.

Our real-time sensor system, developed for in-situ monitoring of food & foodprocessing units, would enable instant and low-cost monitoring.

would offer end-user Unilever a realbreakthrough in monitoring for trace nut contaminants.

Redstone - well medical trials take a famously long time, so I wouldn't expect to see this commercialised for *at least* a couple of years. All feeding into the future pipeline, though...

Great to see the Graphene ink in play again as with the sportswear major collaboration. It will be interesting to understand the length of the initial trials and their scope. Hopefully Neill will provide some more details in a Podcast. It is a large market and one that has the potential to improve care by alerting medical staff as well as saving costs.

CS - The limitless applications were probably overlooked and not taken "seriously for now" by many in the city. But those savvy ones, who understood earlier what is at stake, are already well positioned for the long haul.

"Wonder material graphene is just what the doctor ordered"

Now Versarien is struggling to keep up with demand for its wonder material.
Neill Ricketts, MD of Versarien, said: "Currently there aren't enough hours in the day, given the level of international demand for the material, our guys in Cheltenham are working flat out with some of the largest companies in the world.

"We haven't seen a material yet that isn't improved in some way through the use of these new materials we are producing and I am working with my colleagues at GFirst LEP to continue to expand the business here in Gloucestershire, to make Gloucestershire the production centre of the world for grapheme.
"The best bit is that graphene is the first of hundreds, if not thousands, of new materials coming and Versarien is poised to be the world leader, with its partners at University of Manchester and Cambridge."

As I said I expect this to be in the many £s area in a year or two.

Some sell on paranoia, false information or just a complete lack of understanding. They may get lucky and come back in lower but most will pay more than when they left imo.

Part of the problem there is they buy on news rather than when the shares are available and share price lower.

I found the stain sensors at Cambridge fascinating and they can go into a number of things be it sports, automotive, aerospace, the list is long.

Transense were all about sensors but this imo takes it to another level and opens up far more doors.

There is a video somewhere re the Cambridge sensors.

Nice to see a viable product come from the graphene ink.

How many times in one's life do we bump into not a 10 bagger, but perhaps a 100+ bagger ? All those who "endured" the waiting with great patience will start ripping the rewards soon. Then the more we are patient the more the snow ball becomes bigger and bigger. A domain with limitless applications led by a bright proactive non-stop working CEO. We cannot ask for more. Institutions radars will soon be flashing. Don't forget one thing: We are only at the inception threshold of a "monster-company".

Medical Technology Collaboration

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to develop a range of graphene based sensor technologies to enable the creation of digital bandages and wound dressings capable of various forms of physiological movement and excretion detection.

This project will utilise strain sensors printed with graphene ink using methods which have been developed by the Company's subsidiary, Cambridge Graphene Limited. Trials will take place at the internationally renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Arman Memanzedah leading the clinical trials. He will be joined by Dr Simon Rudland from Stowhealth who will be working with the team to optimise the usability of the data from the graphene dressings to ensure the optimal recovery of the patients post discharge. The agreement will also involve Dr Chris Crockford, Managing Director of Digital and Future Technologies Limited, who will act as liaison between the hospital, Versarien and wider global providers in this field

I didn't see that one coming at all. I knew sensors for various things including packaged food and crop type sensors could come in but not for that one.

Thinking about it those type of sensors can be used for just about anything. My guess is it won't be long before many are wearing health sensors which will ID many ailments in their early stages.

This is our first collaboration in this area and we anticipate that the properties of the high quality graphene we produce can bring significant benefits. In particular, the incorporation of graphene inks will enable the development of 'smart' wound dressings, facilitating better patient monitoring and enhanced recovery.

"We are very excited about the potential for graphene in a variety of medical uses and anticipate entering into further collaborations in this area in due course."
