I didn't see that one coming at all. I knew sensors for various things including packaged food and crop type sensors could come in but not for that one.

Thinking about it those type of sensors can be used for just about anything. My guess is it won't be long before many are wearing health sensors which will ID many ailments in their early stages.

Versarien plc

("Versarien" or the "Company")

Medical Technology Collaboration

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to develop a range of graphene based sensor technologies to enable the creation of digital bandages and wound dressings capable of various forms of physiological movement and excretion detection.

This project will utilise strain sensors printed with graphene ink using methods which have been developed by the Company's subsidiary, Cambridge Graphene Limited. Trials will take place at the internationally renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Arman Memanzedah leading the clinical trials. He will be joined by Dr Simon Rudland from Stowhealth who will be working with the team to optimise the usability of the data from the graphene dressings to ensure the optimal recovery of the patients post discharge. The agreement will also involve Dr Chris Crockford, Managing Director of Digital and Future Technologies Limited, who will act as liaison between the hospital, Versarien and wider global providers in this field.

Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "We are very pleased to be working to bring our graphene ink technology to the medical arena. This is our first collaboration in this area and we anticipate that the properties of the high quality graphene we produce can bring significant benefits. In particular, the incorporation of graphene inks will enable the development of 'smart' wound dressings, facilitating better patient monitoring and enhanced recovery.

"We are very excited about the potential for graphene in a variety of medical uses and anticipate entering into further collaborations in this area in due course."

"Besides anything else Nanene PR will hit more eyes and ears in about 8-10 days when the Olympic embargo on such topics lifts"

I thought the 48hrs sponsor/news embargo was ending tomorrow (Wed.) afternoon?

Tail end of the TMF article: "Views expressed on the companies mentioned in this article are those of the writer and therefore may differ from the official recommendations we make in our subscription services such as Share Advisor, Hidden Winners and Pro". So that's at least 4 outlets they've got.

I think part of the PI problem is that they want their money to keep working. If it is not moving, it is more dangerous than stale cash. So people get frustrated when stock is under distribution. So they sell it and make their money work elsewhere hoping they would join again later when party starts again. Some succeed but most fail. So, it is not for everyone.

Guys, newsflow, newsflow, newsflow is what’s required. No share can go from 13-15p to north of a £ within 3 months without either the large order that confirms the ‘hope’ factor behind the phenomenal rise, or continuos newsflow to keep the ‘hope’ factor high. All these MM manipulation theories don’t do it for me.

I remember theory after theory re the IOF share price as it went down and down and down. I am not saying VRS is comparable to IOF, because I still feel VRS is quite special but if there is not something exciting announced within the next few weeks, this share will continue to sink.

I see this has been tweeted

The mind boggles especially when trying to think of 1000th of 1 billionth of a second.

I think the best way to imagine that sort of timeframe is PIs expectation of time to complete highly important and company making legal document reviews.

Re Motley

It is nice for someone looking like they have realised the huge potential and the potential millionaire maker VRS is.

I know the VRS team think just the same re the prospects ahead if they develop.

Industry has wanted viable GNPs as per the talk NR is to give in Berlin. Well now they are here but few fully realise just yet.

This year the word will spread rapidly. I expect investors to wish for the current entry point with talk of the lucky ones in now.

It's not luck it's called research.

BTW

Besides anything else Nanene PR will hit more eyes and ears in about 8-10 days when the Olympic embargo on such topics lifts.

At that point I imagine talk about it assisting the Gold and Bronze medal will break. Graphene is far more interesting to the media than rough stitching on a suit.

The good news about a retrace is that for the technical types it drifts into oversold and buy territory. You can't just keep going up you need churn on profit taking to reset the share price for the next run up to break out.

I hear some have sold but usually on lack of understanding and false information.

Up to them they just become buyers with the result usually meaning they pay more than they sold them for.

re NPTP and the watch.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the watch contained Nanene.
The results on added strength stunned Mclaren as oer their comments on the topic on their website.
Robert Young UOM who tested Nanene (as per the rns) in carbon fibre was at the watch launch talking about the gains.

So nice to hear NPTP and Mille are to continue with more of the same.

Motley

Hasn't it been different authors.

My view is that current one and some.

As I said within weeks I wouldn't be surprised if the big name collaborations have near doubled. Others seem to mske news of collaborations that VRS don't announce, they do have others.

Does TMF have some sort of central editorial control over what they publish?

-Seemingly not

They seem to have a continuous supply of contradictory 'articles',

-Or you could say they allow their writers to have different viewpoints (all within a tiny word count and written in five minutes)

in various publications/tip sheets,

-I think it's just on the website, but the US one seems to go into more detail. They are all about plugging their own subscription service however.

or are they just a pump & dump outfit?

-Don't seem co-ordinated enough for that.

I notice from the Advfn trades today that the UT auction was at 2pm. Any reason for this?

Just curious
