Agree with you all on communication and it’s pretty poor to say the least. Senior mgt are sitting on massive share incentive pots and none of the board have sold any shares for many months if not years. You could argue it’s not worth selling at this current price but my gut feel is that there are sitting on some pretty good news that they can hopefully share soon. There is more incentive for them to be successful then let the company fail.

Still watching here although I sold long ago. My view for what it's worth is that there has to be an existential threat to the company. I have no idea quite how with their cash burn they keep going without any big deal which clearly hasn't happened yet, and it's been a very very long time since there was any notifiable deal. In a world desperate for renewables it's shocking really that VDTK are in this place.

Cheers sn.Yes, I also noted that re the efficiency.I assume that will increase over time.VDTK have got great opportunities, there's also the jv with Paragraf but I'm very unsure if VDTK have the ability to exploit the market, in terms of suitable management and cash. They hardly say a thing, perhaps there's nothing to say?

av - I saw your link - interesting. One of the products is still in the lab, and the other only offers half the efficiency of standard panels, but the ideas are good.

It occurred to me that you could sell one of those solar pods with the car, all bundled in the same lease/pcp deal, and market it as 'free fuel for life'. What an opportunity for an enterprising car manufacturer/dealer and an aggressive solar panel manufacturer!

All they need to do is RNS orders which they've actually got paid for or a substantial upfront deposit instead of the fairy stories they released before. No RNS = next to no sales. A handful of small orders ain't even going to make a dent in the cash flowing out.

No one knows! I think they got so burned by the previous RNS releases about orders which then for one reason or another didn't happen.....omerta rules.

Agree with that , flexible panel solar has got a great market. Why can't VDTK win a decent chunk of it?nada, zilch from these guys for years, are they still going? Wtf are they doing?

Not difficult to hold that view. But solar is in a sweet spot at present and they have decent technology.

Presumably last years results will be out soon ish.Not a sausage in terms of orders since the fake orders of 2020.Normal share price service resumed, will it bounce for the 3rd time c 2p or drop into the 1's.Total disaster of a company, unfortunately.

Interesting article, clearly the potential is there for thin flexible films
Can VDTK capitalise on it?
Not much sign of that to date

With the global increase in solar panel demands there surely couldn’t be a better time for this stock to ignite pretty soon! I know everyone is now waiting for the 2021 year end accounts to be signed off but in the meantime I really hope that they are filling their order books. Personally I am not interested in past performance but would like to hear an update of new orders and their next three year strategic road map.

I see that flin-solar.com have developed a new solar panel product, the FLINkite. Verditek supply all of FLIN's solar panels. The website looks impressive and judging by the number of views of their Youtube videos, they are generating a lot of interest, and with the current cost of energy, I would hope that sales figures will be on a steady increase.

With Verditek producing panels etc for project, that will ultimately help in some way towards running costs and more importantly give them good exposure to NGOs etc for further projects.

GardenerBut I presume that grant can only be used against that project and not against general running costs.

Don't forget Verditek also won a Innovate UK grant last year which covers 70 percent of £450,000 project cost in Zimbabwe, that commenced 1 Oct 2021 and last for 18 months.

There is no doubt it will be tight. Fingers crossed, that's all we can do at the moment. We need the results to find out where they are at.

They are going to have to go some if small orders are going to pay the bills.Costs are c £2m a year, with no sales.Add sales, they need money for materials. So they probably need to do £3m-£4m sales to break even. That's £60k to £80k of small orders week in week out. Just don't think they are anywhere near doing that.

duboisThey haven't RNS'd an order because none of their 'orders' have remotely come close to the threshold of RNS!They could use RNS Non or Reach if they wished to communicate smaller sales. That hasn't happened either.Imo, sales for the second half will be very modest indeed. Time will tell!

JakNife, I'm afraid you're a little out of touch with this stock. They haven't RNS'd an order for 18 months. All sales are kept close to their chest. We know the bradclad deal went through with hopefully more we do not know about. They work on smaller orders to pay the bills and hopefully bigger ones eventually to put icing on the cake. This tie up with metro tile is a prime example of them keeping things close to their chest. Metro announced it but not Verditek.

Biggest 'order' to date has been the £300k that got nicked! They never did update the market on that one, despite promising to do so.
