IC on SPX
"The group’s resilience is testament to its
business model. The industrial backdrop
could improve on the back of prospective
US infrastructure starts, but we still feel that
the group’s shares, trading at a sector-leading
24 times forecast earnings, are likely to
pull back from current levels.
Sell"

BUR is a buy, red. As is AMS.

"But that may not tell us much about the future,
especially as the Bain report says that today’s privateequity
industry is “more competitive, with many more
participants and massive amounts of capital competing
for a limited set of deals”. That spells lower future returns
and warns us more than ever that this insiders’ form of
capitalism owes as much to image and to leverage as it
does to substance."

27th H.
The afterburners are in Siemens hands though. I don't think they will alter their timetable to suit BVXP accounting. Maybe BVXP would announce their interims to suit Siemens if there is a little leeway though.
I'm feeling the tension of waiting!
It's 5.5% of my portfolio.

The title of this thread is ValueGrowth Investing, so have any of you FFWD bashers come up with any stocks in the last few months which meet this criteria?

"This thread is aimed at an investment strategy that has been loosely termed ''ValueGrowth''. Simply put, the idea is to identify companies which should grow strongly in the future and whose current share price also represents good value when compared to the balance sheet fundamentals."

This thread is pointless. Apart from knocking FFWD the only thing APAD is capable of doing is posting links that don't work.

Actually you are right Hydrus, because Pete is so clueless it shouldn't bother me.:-)

I think you are being a bit sensitive. Just take it on the chin - if you believe so much in the company why would it bother you?

Some of the posts here would appear to be a direct contradiction of the objectives of this thread and it's so very easy to knock a share when the price is going down. Pete is probably one of 3rd eye's multiple user names, or perhaps they just happen to sing in the same choir.

Oh dear. sorry that you feel that way.
Personally, I only post under one name, and sometimes I find that difficult.
Just posted off beam.

I think this thread has degenerated into the deramp FFWD thread. Just as a matter of interest how many other usernames do you chaps post under on ADVFN? Pete, you really don't have a clue, checking out your posting history on this bulletin board says it all.

Last offering for the night:

Wife : Shall I prepare Curry or Soup today?
Husband : First make it, we will name it later

A married man's prayer :
Dear God, You gave me childhood, You took it away
You gave me youth, You took it away.
You gave me a wife ... Its been years now, just reminding You.

A couple was having dinner at a fancy restaurant. As the food was served, the husband said, "the food looks delicious, let's eat."
Wife : honey ... you say prayer before eating at home
Husband : that's at home sweetheart ... here the chef knows how to cook.

Best Slogan on a MAN's T-Shirt :
"Please Do Not Disturb me,
I am Married and already very Disturbed"

Sorry if any females are offended.

Relative had new glass fitted to her ar today.
Made in Hungary, shipped to China, back to UK port, then Cheltenham, Redditch, onto van, from Coventry depot then fitted to car on the drive. The glass has done more miles than the car!
Crazy world.

FFWD is a con trick, Pete. They'll be asking for more money to fund their lifestyle sooner or later. Charts not useful.

FFWD almost hit bottom again now.
Traders might soon look to buy this dip (!).
The recent chart pattern suggests it might go back up to 13.5 again.
And I might suggest dont buy until the rise has actually started.
But WTFDIK.

I note DIS has fallen back a touch.
I wonder if this might be a chance for some who missed out to buy in.
IMO there will certainly be another share price rise.

PTSG hovering bid/ offer 97/101- psychological barrier at 100.
A good report on the 28th should help it through.

Bit disappointed with ESP.
Interims 10 April - hope it perks up a bit.

A lot of interest in IQE.
Finals 21 march.
Chart climbing strongly since last august.

May have mentioned this and could be complete c8ap,
but notice that many TA guys appear to be looking at next Monday/Tuesday
as a potential turn date for markets.

There are always reasons not to buy, if you want to find them,
best if you see value just click buy.

850p or lower would be nice on ABC. Not that I am into charts but that would be a "cup and handle" when it starts to go back up and would be rather bullish. Shame the dividend yield is not higher! Also see QTX is providing a healthy dip today.
