Waffly is perhaps the most accurate description.

They're starting back up with acquisitions by the sound of it, but at least it seems targeted.

Be nice to know the value of the delayed stuff into Q1 2018.

Possibly a bit harsh, but given the recent history & the disastrous spin off that will tarnish venn's reputation, I think most would be forgiven for thinking much the same. I think the TU will put a floor under the shares for some time & hope that growth happens some time soon. At the very least they have stopped the acquisition route for the time being.

Jury still out I reckon and waffly statement is the norm. Clearly getting rid of Integumen didn't take out a load of costs and will have to wait for the accounts to see where that (saved?) money has gone. Perhaps they have spent it on the infrastructure and they really are ready to expand.

Perhaps they've really identified the best market (late phase) to go for and therefore spent money getting ready for that.

Perhaps, perhaps, or not...

Or will it just go the way of many businesses trying to expand... Issue shares, buy other businesses, increase revenue, but never get to profitability.

Positively, I was half expecting a significant drop in revenue, as a result of the delays and that hasn't happened. You just get used to looking at the failed share price and thinking the worst.

quick take reading between the lines "Warm comforting words = hot air" Other views or am I being too harsh ?

However turnover to market cap indicates that there might be value here but cash burn is a worry.

Well at least they have revenue close to last years and improved EBIDTA if you like that measure, despite the delay of a project into Q1 2018.

I think the translation of the statement is this:

"Organic growth has been quite difficult, partly because of our own internal structures, so now we've made them more more fit for purpose. Now we're going to acquire some late phase businesses to fully use those resources".

Finding AIM stocks with growing turnover, margins and profits is indeed very difficult

Especially with a track record of doing this for several years

Lucky for me I have found several

Not much point in taking punts on AIM stocks that are showing diminishing returns

Growth is the name of the game

Making profits as well is the icing on the AIM cake

Needless to say the VENN chart does not inspire one with confidence

Any share where Beaufort Securities are involved seems to be a complete utter disaster! I wonder why??

That announcement is neither here nor there imo - its the revenue figures that will be interesting and the underlying profit after getting rid of Innovenn, when will find out whether that really was holding back results, or whether it was a red-herring.

RNS this morning giving away albeit 0.5% of the company for the rest of the consideration of French subsidiary. However, almost 500k loss to throw into coming results!. This is one of only two holdings I have in AIM listed companies as time has proven what a mine field it has become. Directors all to often spin a web of deceit to unable them to pull the wool over investors eyes. I can't wait to see the forth coming results will bring.

You need to get over your guilt about pushing Alltracel. If I were you, I'd keep a low profile, its embarrassing.

I think it might turn out to be more like a 500K dollar question unfortunately.

Unfortunately I too share the view that no news is bad news. Integumen has been a disaster float & many will be nursing burnt fingers, thankfully not me. Was VENN clever spinning this out or not?, that's the sixty four million dollar question. For now the company has to produce at least a decent profit without the usual accounting fixing/ window dressing that has gone on in the past.

This chart like many

Is telling newbes that something is wrong

So Avoidance for now till next results are out seems the wisest course IMO

Looking at integumen, a potential positive is that in theory it looks like Venn would have been carrying about £1mln of losses within the business, that have now gone. I can't remember if Venn every quantified the costs, but if those savings go to the bottom line, then perhaps profits here are not that far away. I suspect some new costs will have appeared though.

60k of purchases this morning made a nice change and has nudged up the online Offer quote for the first time since we hit the peak of 15-16p on 1st Nov.

Can't get a quote for any amount on the Bid side though. Hopefully that will change soon but not holding my breath.

I suspect there's going to be a nasty shock and lots of excuses and/or exceptionals and/or write-downs etc. coming here, judging by the complete lack of news flow of any sort.

Can't be bothered to sell as not enough invested, so might as well wait and see. You never know, they might have the same turnover and some profit, having got rid of Integumen which was supposedly dragging them down.

I'm sure there will be some accounting repercussions from that float that tanked, seeing as it was identified as a profit last time.

Eastbourne1982: Operating profit €10,000 -- I suspect even an offer of 10p per share might be over doing it - OK maybe new management could work smarter but need to dig far deeper into the "must have" elements of their products and sevises but from first glance they seem to be running very fast to lose ground.

Back burner job (imo) more interesting opportunities (I am probably wrong as ususal) out there - Even Low & Bonar! though I see you are not happy with the debt -
