Thanks for that. Very interesting but over 2 years old. Have things evolved a lot since then and does that process use VLS?

21 Jan 2023 - Relates to BP but also mentions (the process) "The agreement, which includes Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company Tadweer and Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways, would explore the production of SAF, alongside other products like renewable diesel and naphtha, using municipal solid waste and renewable hydrogen"

These projects take years to progress, absolutely years, it takes years to go through all the planning consents. News flow is always about agreements to do this or that.

Over a billion shares in issue as it prints shares like confetti always raising money and burning through cash. Share price has gone nowhere for over 5 years. It'll spike every so often as traders play with it and lure in the numpties, but it'll end up back to where it was.

I guess they'll be raising again at some point.

With VLS there’s now plenty of potential for a sudden jump, so you’ve bought at the right time imo.

Zico

How are you doing on your FLX shares ? I see you’ve stopped posting there.

I have no idea of your investments and you have no idea of mine.

However I’m not the one pretending that I do. Why not stick to discussing the shares.

I know the advfn poster culture is like the worst group of football supporters but you don’t need to show yourself up.

You should have a look at IES, SRT and VEL - they’ll drop back a bit and then you might find them worthwhile, but you will have to do some proper research.

Henrik Wareborn comments in The Telegraph

Velocys was featured in The Daily Telegraph in an article about the future of sustainable aviation fuel: “How the biggest ever jet engine built by Rolls-Royce is paving the way for an era of low-cost green flying”.

The article explored Rolls Royce’s new UltraFan engine and its potential to narrow the cost of sustainable aviation fuel. The article shows that SAF, which requires minimal modification to existing jet engines and significantly reduces lifecycle carbon emissions, is the best answer to long haul air travel.

Velocys CEO Henrik Wareborn is quoted at length, explaining that whilst that SAF is more expensive than fossil jet fuel today, higher tax on fossil fuels and low tax on green fuels will change this: “You need to ask yourself what price should those burning fossil fuels that release a huge amount of CO2 into the atmosphere pay?”

SAF is becoming increasingly attractive to the airline industry as favourable policy-making in the US (Inflation Reduction Act of 2022) and EU (new EU deal on carbon border tax) incentivises SAF over polluting fossil fuels.
