...And if its of any interest, the forthcoming ESMO conference for Oncology could be a welcome boost for 4d at current valuations but please do your DD. Its quite an interesting proposition in the BioPharma arena but bear in mind that they're all wholly results orientated so shouldn't really be considered with TA!

Shorting provides liquidity to markets but should be accustomed to indices rather than individual stocks as it can unreasonably destroy their value!

...Puff, its had a near 80% rise in less than a month but no suprise that you arrive just now!

Dont short the stock of such small enterprises/penny stocks, the spread will destroy you!

Thanks for that PWhite. Hopefully, there be a better place for shorting penny shares in the future. I need more spread bet accounts other than IG Index. As if one went bust then it affects the rest that I hold.
If I held just one that went bust then my loss be covered.

Let's just wait and see what the commercial details are first. Be nice to get positive comments by our CEO in press over weekend. Covid is still today's story and unfortunately looks like getting worse again over next 3 months!

luckyAG - As a PI you can't short Vela and spread bet companies will only allow you to spread bet if they're in a position to close you out with a loss. By law all spread bet companies are required to tell all retail customers what percentage of them lose money. The figures quoted are about 70% in reality its about 90% for PIs.

OMI is a prime example of better opportunities elswhere.
A massive holding has been dumped that meant their overhang is now gone.
Could of topped up at 20p after that news.
However I am a long term holder here.

The share price isn't rising because 0.085p still represents a healthy premium for existing warrants and forward sold placing shares at 0.060p. That's why its 16% down as I type. Nothing to do with PIs selling.

Lucky, Vela has had its price action in this particular scenario, however, if it falls back to those more compelling levels in the 7s, then it becomes interesting again!

...However, unless the other holdings begin to show some real traction which is unlikely, the trial with a larger cohort will take a considerable amount of time heronin to capitalise buddy.

I not sure how you cope watching allthese buyers buying so many shares after you have sold. For me the feeling is way too grim and always leads me to buying them back again if I can get in for the same price or less to what I sold them for.

Bap - I don't disagree. Considering the volume and the buying all the way up to 0.14p yesterday I can well believe the MM taking your lot for 0.0975p. That only reinforces my point about trying to get out with a decent profit for a decent size.

0.13p was on the bid only for the first 10 minutes when only 190 million had been sold. I'm not going to argue this point any further.

I the Rebel was looking at the 'Bigger Picture' of a global chronic condition in Diabetes which is highly prevalent and getting worse with out lifestyles Bapodra but thats before we consider it for those patients with long covid...There is significant potential for it but I was under the Impression, mistakenly it has to be said that following success in the initial trial, commercialisation would be imminent and not needing further trials with a larger cohort...

And PWhite, I sold around 50 million in batches @0.13 and a little lower yesterday for a very healthy profit so I dont agree that MMs wouldn't have allowed it!
