VELA makes decent investments. VELA should command a higher valuation just on their future potential for making great decisions on more new investments.

8 million buy at 0.849p. There was a 10 million and 16 million buy earlier. There are 148 million buys to 66 million sells yet the stock is down. Where are these shares coming from? They are 0.060p warrant and new forward sold placing shares. I give credit to Vela for the Covid stunt bravo!!!. But Vela is still nothing but an ATM cash machine for the directors and those associated with the company.

You'll certainly be gaining more shares when they shortly announce SGS have dumped their entire 1.1 billion holding.

Good. Will mean more shares gained when adding to holding. Great stuff.

I really nothing to say about this rise and fall. As that be hindsight, and the only hindsight I had was possibly closing at 0.13 and getting back in at 0.11p.

Patience...it's stage 2...still needs to complete stage 3. Take it your in at the wrong price. If this share went to 2p would you report this to the conduct authority for making too much money?

I urge anybody who has lost money in Vela over the SGS trial to report the matter to the Financial Conduct Authority.

Shorting is 'Big Game' in the US Lucky and its market indices have always been incredibly difficult to have any real confidence of interpreting correctly...

The reasoning, MMs are very adept at Algorithmic trading there, hence why a majority of retail traders get caught out with their stop/losses and even I've been burnt in the past with shorting the Dow but for me the European markets especially the Dax has always been the better proposition...

By the way, I'm sure you've frequently noticed how US wider markets react in an extremely perverse way to popular belief and on a daily basis!

Wrong since shorting the DOW always has led to emptying my trading account every time in the past. That is why I have learnt my lesson in not to short the DOW, and have saved tens of thousands of losses.

The only time a trader can gain on the DOW shorting is on the back of thousands of lives being lost during natural disasters like 9th 11th, the earthquakes in Japan and the start of covid for example. That would not be moral or ethical, and could you really live with yourself making gains like that all the time.

I agree with its use for over-valued companies Bapodra but significant shareholders of a company invariably use arbitrage trading to protect their investments from such price action which has a tendency of accentuating a demise away from its 'Fair Value' and retail investors dont always have either the means or the inclination to do as such so I dont believe its a level playing field for all with the shorting of stocks...And indices normally have greater liquidity to be less impacting on the common investor.
