26/2/2021 10:49 | looking a bit better today, perhaps it needed a bit of a clear out? | currypasty
26/2/2021 10:49 | I have sold my Vela shares this morning for a loss as they were in my trading account. I have re-bought this morning for 0.09p but in my ISA as I think the growth potential has just increased in Vela shares. I like the investments James Normand and the BoD are making. I like their style and diversification. The only investment I am not sure on is the SGS Capital but all the other investments are really exciting and will increase the value for Vela going forwards.
I am far more confident now in Vela than I have ever been in the past 3-4 years I have held Vela's shares. Yes, I have taken a loss today but it was more strategic and to do with tax planning than anything else. I have bought at 0.09p in my ISA and I am very confident in Vela going forwards. | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 17:29 | whats with the 100 million trade from earlier ? | currypasty
25/2/2021 16:14 | I have just contacted Vela and asked them to ensure that they keep their website up to date with correct companies that Vela have invested in and what stakes so that new potential investors have the required information to make informed decisions.
I have also asked them to use the likes of LinkedIn more as the power of contacts/networks is very powerful and other companies are using it. Vela being a 'disruptive tech' company should really be using technology far more effectively and quite frankly better.
Exciting times ahead though. | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 16:02 | excellent!
The Board of Vela (AIM: VELA) announces that it has invested GBP350,000 in Aeristech Limited ("Aeristech"), a producer of efficient, power-dense compressors for hydrogen fuel cells, as part of Aeristech's GBP5.1 million pre-IPO funding round. | currypasty
25/2/2021 15:10 | Vela has confirmed via RNS the Hydrogen Fuel Cell investment. This looks like a longer term investment with lots of potential but will require lots of patience.
It seems that Vela is really diversifying so that it can weather any potential storm on UK stock markets in terms of its share price.
Great news and this should see an upturn in the share price at least for the shorter term. | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 14:02 | Steady - Anything in the 0.06p - 0.08p price zone is a buy. I cannot see the share price going below 0.06p. If it did then I would have to seriously consider buying more myself, not that I would want to as I have millions of shares in Vela and a bit too many for my liking.
I am happy as long as the price stays above 0.08p in the short term. I think the lowest it will fall is 0.06p but current prices seem good value to me. | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 13:57 | Bought a few more on the dip | volsung
25/2/2021 13:36 | Does anyone think the price may fall below 0.08p or if it’s the right time to start loading now ? | steadyeddyguy
25/2/2021 13:07 | Good job I sold between 0.09 and 0.115 during the last climb.
Could be in the 8s for a few weeks until trial results so a good time to accumulate again! 👍 | steadyeddyguy
25/2/2021 12:01 | Curry - True, I agree.
However I have been a shareholder in Vela since around 2017 so I have seen many of these millions being added to become billions.
Thankfully I added at 0.08p to seriously/significantly bring my average down so that I have a realistic chance of breaking even or possibly profiting from my Vela investments.
I have to thank my experience with Vela has it has taught me some valuable/harsh lessons. | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 11:56 | not many in the 12 billion scheme of things, but it might explain the 10m sells going through.. you only usually exercise if you want to sell, or time on option is running out. | currypasty
25/2/2021 11:48 | Another 51.8m shares. Great!!! | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 11:21 | I forgot Revolve Technologies. What is going on there? | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 10:04 | Blueblood - The list does not include Kanabo. Vela are notoriously bad for updating their website.
Curry - Don't forget the Hydrogen is not a done deal yet but hopefully some positive news to be released shortly.
Both - Look at the recent Vela RNS and you will find no mention of SGS Capital and the trial. I am treating the SGS Capital as a 'bonus' in the portfolio. If it comes off great but if not then I have managed my expectations. I think Mode, Cornerstone, Kanabo and new investments will drive Vela going forwards in the short to medium term.
I still would like more detail on North Peak and We Shop along with Disruptive Tech which was being wound down. I would like to know what Vela's specific roadmap/plans are here. | bapodra_investments
25/2/2021 08:57 | Be interesting to see how they invest current cash now too! | blueblood
25/2/2021 08:54 | yes, that and the fuel cell technology company.. its impossible to switch all automotive to battery, not enough lithium on the planet | currypasty
25/2/2021 08:49 | Thanks Curry just increased here this morning as seem to have few great opportunities. Especially like potential of St George's ARCADIA trial for C19 diabetes treatment. | blueblood
25/2/2021 08:45 | list here bb

25/2/2021 08:18 | Is there an easy way to get list of current investments? | blueblood
24/2/2021 15:08 | I remember reading I think it was yesterday about Nikola Co. who are are developing 'Hydrogen Fuel Cell' technology with a range of around 900 miles. | bapodra_investments

Vela seem to be 'on trend' with their investments | currypasty
24/2/2021 09:13 | There have been regular 10m sells recently.. I wonder if some of the subscribers of the placing are dumping some of the shares they already have.. May be at a loss compared to placing price, but new shares have warrants attached, which could be of great value | currypasty
23/2/2021 22:28 | Some of the BITCOIN MINERS finding a bid now over in North America including Canadian listed BLOCKCHAINK2 ticker TSXv:BITK
Always worth having some North American plays as well as London ones so that it is possible to then have longer trading hours following 24/7 BITCOIN | the chairman elect
23/2/2021 13:58 | Currypasty - I have to agree as you make a very good point. A lot of companies which invest in other companies do not seem to have a clear 'exit strategy' which is why their share prices linger into uncertainty. I think that decision making to take a profit should be commended.
Yes they already had around £1.3m in the bank and now with this raising they are going to have just under £3m so a nice pot to make some more tasty investments.
I invested my second chunk at 0.08p so hopefully that is near the bottom area.
The future looks bright for Vela and the potential seems to be good. Just need to make sure the exits into any investments are executed so that shareholder value is delivered. Yes patience will be required but I think having a clear plan/strategy for exits will be important and from the recent Kanabo move I am confident this BoD will be far greater at delivering returns for its shareholders. | bapodra_investments
