31/7/2018 10:33 | EriktherockAtm stool interested to know why you think a higher offer possible. I might be missing something. | ashwani01
31/7/2018 10:32 | If the dollar goes above 1.32 then you will get less than the £8.25 on offer. I think the main thing to follow now is the Exchange rate with regards to whether to sell now or wait. | ashwani01
31/7/2018 10:30 | Thanks for the considered view there Ashwani. We'll have to agree to differ. | eriktherock
31/7/2018 10:22 | No chance of higher offer. Why would somebody else want 37%of Ved Resources when Agarwal controls 63%.But, if I am wrong, great. Cos I will now hold to the end and sell to the highest bidder. No point selling today at less than the 10.89$ on offer. Unless you think the dollar is going to collapse ! | ashwani01
31/7/2018 10:16 | If acceptance level over 90% then they can compulsorily buy out remaining shareholders so you cannot keep your shares. No point keeping shares anyway if they delist from LSE.Might be some option to buy Vedanta Limited (Indian) shares with money paid but we shall see but I am only interested in buying LSE shares anyway. Plenty other fish in the pool. | ashwani01
31/7/2018 10:14 | What chance of a higher offer ? guman31 Jul '18 - 09:35 - 9705 of 9708 nil You may be quite wrong there guman31 | eriktherock
31/7/2018 09:57 | seemingly they only need 83% acceptance well volcano 63% SLA 24% MY.0002% JOB DONE | 84stewart
31/7/2018 09:51 | joleyd, shareholders will get to vote on whether to accept the offer or not. if above a certain % vote yes then the offer will be accepted. the offer was for all the shares so if the deal goes through you will receive the cash offer. | technowiz
31/7/2018 09:42 | I am newish to share dealing and completely new to this Vedanta "offer to buy". Presumably one can keep all or some shares by simply not taking up the offer. The million dollar question is of course what happens next! Do the retained shares become converted into shares in one of Agwal's myriad companies - or do they turn to dust. I will take a slight loss by selling but am tempted to keep a proportion because I can see the "old" Vedanta making large profits in the future - India will be the new China I think. | joleyd
31/7/2018 09:29 | What chance of a higher offer ? | eriktherock
31/7/2018 09:12 | GBP/USD now 1.314 so $10.89 offer is worth 828.76p but i doubt it will be 1.314 probably something nearer 1.32 at today's exchange rate so 825p. i never get bang on the exchange rate when i buy/sell foreign shares. i bought a few shares on 19th July so if i sell today i still get the dividend? i can receive in GBP too? | technowiz

31/7/2018 08:08 | Great stuff depending on the fx rate you may get above or below 825p. | smurfy2001
31/7/2018 08:06 | The dollar has strengthened since 29 June. That's why I suggested people check *current* exchange rates. I made it over 830p when I checked. | zangdook
31/7/2018 07:32 | Read the RNS 'The Offer Price implies an equivalent value of 825 pence per Vedanta Share based on the exchange rate of GBP:US$ of 1.3203 as at 29 June 2018' | eriktherock
31/7/2018 07:26 | It's more than 3p higher. Check current fx rates. | zangdook
