The Acquisition is subject to the full terms and Conditions which will be set out in the Scheme Document. Subject to the satisfaction or (where applicable) waiver of the Conditions, the Acquisition is expected to become Effective during Q3 2021.
· The Scheme Document, containing further information about the Acquisition and notices of the Court Meeting and the General Meeting, together with an indicative timetable for implementation of the Scheme, will be dispatched to Vectura Shareholders (together with the Forms of Proxy) as soon as is reasonably practicable and, in any event, within 28 days of the date of this announcement (unless the Panel consents to a later date). The Court Meeting and the General Meeting are expected to be held in July 2021. Subject to certain restrictions relating to persons resident in Restricted Jurisdictions, the Scheme Document will also be made available on Vectura's website at www.vectura.com.

It seems to me that shareholders (mainly institutions) are sending a message to Carlyle that 136p won't get it. When the proposed scheme is published it would not surprise me to see an enhancement of the offer - possibly a smallish one to take it to 140p and a bit. If that should happen it will be interesting to see the market response.

Hikma for me pure gamble could be very good

I would have preferred a full paper bid with Hikma

Then agreed cash bid with the board backing

Had very high hopes for Vectura 2021

All got nicked (gazumped) by the cash bid

I’ve had it before (admittedly not in exactly the same situation) where they RNS the percentage of irrevocable declarations as an update from time to time, anyone know the rules around this and whether they are likely to issue any updates. If it’s getting near the 75% they may want to give update to get over the line, if they have only got a small percentage that have agreed then they may not want to (if it’s optional).

Like many here I’ve been in this for far too long. It’s not a great offer IMO and I was hoping we could squeeze a bit more out from somewhere but frankly I’ll be happy to move on from what has been a rollercoaster over the years. Still I’ve made a very healthy profit and certainly had a lot worse shares.

Why they all did let Vectura be in misery ?
Strange - almost very little retail investors are in .
Hopefully bid will be sweetened !

Has anyone been adding up the number of shares sold - or more pertinently bought - above the offer price?
Who is buying? Are they expecting, and will they vote, to take a loss when the time comes?

We may have to wait until 23rd June for more clarity on the road ahead.

IMHO this is the beginning of the selling off of assets & Vec May well be supporting Lyon for 3 years at a cost of $10mill but I would rather they showed some support for long suffering SKP holders as we have all received a very poor deal out of the Vec takeover .
