03/6/2021 19:29 | Game over Save your money Agreed bid by the board I can not hear anyone rejecting this | vecturaking
03/6/2021 18:58 | Looks as though market pricing in an increased offer of at least 7p per share so decisions decisions!! - Sell for an extra 7p over current offer less selling expenses Or buy at closing auction of 142 - say 143 after stamp and dealing and hope for an increased offer of say 150p So possibly an extra 7p odd gain -v- a loss of 10p of no increased bid or counter bid - Gamble - Odds? | pugugly
03/6/2021 18:19 | I'm still holding but not reading too much into it, yet | davr0s
03/6/2021 16:49 | Closing auctions have executed consistently above the offer price for some days but notably so today and in some considerable volume. I'm sitting tight. PS: The WEY settlement and the VEC div will give me enough spare cash for the near future. | boadicea
03/6/2021 16:46 | Agree - up 2% today | dave129
03/6/2021 16:40 | Somebody’s betting a higher bid is coming | aceuk
03/6/2021 16:30 | The documents detailing the SoA have to be published by 23rd June but that is nearly 3 weeks off - so plenty of time for any contestants to do their sums. I note that we have not so far had any claim of institutional support for the offer, provisional or otherwise. They will need 75%. When would this be expected? | boadicea
03/6/2021 10:31 | I assume VEC are contacting the major holders to gauge what level of support the bid will get. I would expect most will back it and bank their 20/30/40% profits. Agree that if anyone else is considering a counter bid then they will need to make their move in the next couple of weeks. Unlikely I would say though. | gbcol
03/6/2021 10:30 | Could anybody suggest to Reddit to buy Vectura ? AMC went up from 5$ to 70$ not bad ?! Thanks Reddit recommendation ! | a1ord53
03/6/2021 10:10 | I think it’s game over Use this valuable time to say ByBy Agreed bid with full backing from the board | vecturaking
03/6/2021 09:58 | Well you would think if there was a counter offer, the timing would be in the next week...... | chrisdgb
01/6/2021 10:06 | ex-dividend | zangdook
01/6/2021 08:35 | ok, now they've corrected it but they won't let me trade. | zangdook
01/6/2021 08:34 | I bet they have really fat knots on their ties and spotty girlfriends. | zangdook
01/6/2021 08:18 | Unbelievable. Lloyds have reduced my shareholding as if the consolidation had gone ahead. Incompetent morons. | zangdook
31/5/2021 21:55 | Unfortunately Game Over | vecturaking
31/5/2021 20:28 | Management aren’t cutting & running as Will & his team are staying & I would be surprised if they don’t have first option on buying out the nascent CDMO business in a couple of years of so at a favourable price the parameters of which will have predetermined .He & team will of course receive a decent capital sum based on their Vec options ,giving them an immediate capital gain for a short period of service .Tge deal stinks but unlikely to be improved on -IMHO | base7
31/5/2021 16:32 | Vec s management were quick to recommend the deal, looks like they want to cut and run, after all the time and effort spent! Unless the trading statement was purposely low key to keep it simple for Carlyle, I didn’t notice anything that would make this a screaming buy. | diesel
31/5/2021 13:23 | KAZ shareholders got the buyers to increase their offer. It happens, even if another bidder doesn't turn up. | zangdook
29/5/2021 15:05 | Why be cryptic, just name the irons & share the love ! ? | ropey
29/5/2021 11:13 | As a holder of Axis shield, BTG, and Vectura I feel this deal seems to be the most underhand. With Axis at least the board put up a fight BTG was probably a good deal after some poor acquisitions. My last “biotech” Which unfortunately was my smallest holding I have no doubt this will be swallowed up in the next couple of years. | dp1umb
29/5/2021 10:03 | Best to move on and look for future investments. Recent events sums up all that is bad about corporate UK. Self serving management looking for any opportunity to reward themselves and their buddies with little skill to grow the business but curiously able to find a lucrative deal for themselves. As evidenced, they could not find a way to invest a huge windfall in growing the business but strangely the take over sighted ‘access to funds’ as being one of the positives for the future of Vec. I’ve been investing for 40+ years and, call me old fashioned, but my principle is putting my money behind ethical UK companies. The greed of corporate management, despite efforts to control, is totally unacceptable, at least we can walk away with a reasonable return, some of my holdings have gone into adminisration after the directors filled their boots. See some of you on other threads, good luck for the future. | diesel |
