I wonder how many big pharma execs have the FDA in their pocket.

"How much was Advair going to add to the bottom line % wise??". Polaris normally has his spreadsheets primed ready to answer such questions! Paul?

6525 - I 'think' such a supposition is out of left universe rather than field matey!!
All imho and meant playfully of course!

Key issue with Hikma is the fda view on the clinical endpoint study submitted as part of the ANDA.Statement due during Q1.If the fda insist on fresh clinical data rather than an issue of interpretation then we are in trouble!

thought out of left field:

what if the major shareholder is selling out to help the company buy back its shares at a cheaper price?

Sell out a partial clip to make the company look healthier to then reap the benefits on the rest of its holdings?

SoundBuy, spot on! The buy-back is helping the seller to exit at a better price. The buy-back should be halted temporarily and resumed when the seller has finished.

Didn't expect to get back in at this price but here I am :)Chart support around this price, over reaction to Amazon's plans to enter the US market to drive down health care costs. Should see this bounce off 106ish... fingers crossed.

The buy back provides the liquidity......if they have a time frame to exit then take advantage......

Company imo unwise spent shareholders money for buy back / helping sellers .
Ceo is incompetent to run this company and cfo sold at 145 p
What can we expect ?
Probably undervalued now , but sentiment is broken .
Major shareholders should take company private at this price.
And sell then products to major Pharma cos.
Anybody knows what worth Vectura without Advair ?

As i see it the seller wants out PDQ ,with the buy back could have been done more slowly ,

Was tempted to re-enter at just over 91p there...........but that'd just be me looking at the chart.........somebody's in a hurry to exit......and this buyback couldn't be worse timed by the look of it........just provides liquidity to the seller/dumper....mmmmmm....sit this one out perhaps......

Anyone know this...
If a major shareholder is selling, say 5mill shares, how long can this be worked before reporting?
There have been no major holders reporting for a while, so is this just being traded lower, I don't see any recent news that should have reversed the recent trend so sharply.

Hard to believe the CEO isn't aware of a reason or not privy to something which would explain the share price drop and fails to inform the market as he should.

Well this is some sell off as I said the other day can en us in the 80s before long like everyone on this board haven't got a clue what's going on .74p my break even so some way to go ,getting a bit like the old SKP days.

Hbm were increasing there stake in SKP at 30p 50p 70p and fully took up in all the late fundraising. So selling vectura even at 80p they will be making a profit it could be even lower than that.

Another 800000 shares bought-back yesterday and the share price tanks again. If, as has been suggested, this has been timed to coincide with HBM bailing out, with the intent of supporting the share price during their sell-off, it doesn't appear to be working. Or perhaps it is! But I would now have think that the best approach would be to temporarily cease buying and let HBM suffer whatever loss they are prepared to take. The buy-back can then resume at bargain levels and have a far greater effect on earnings per share if that is the true aim of the buy-back.
