24/1/2018 12:14 | I dont see reason to buy now , cause seller has aprox 50 mil shares left and wants out of this investment . I am sure thah HMB Health offered their stock to Woodford, Invesco or other major shareholders , but obviously nobody wanted buy it. So Vectura could buy back on a lower level, than now. So why they are just being wasting cash ? Short sellers also trying to depress share price and buy back later from HMB Health and cover their shorts. Only new fresh buyer could theoreticly take over HMB position and squeeze shorts - dream scenario | a1ord53
24/1/2018 11:46 | I have just been looking at the pattern of buy-back spend so far. The first 2 months saw a fairly consistent outlay of just under £1m per month. But it has suddenly spiked up, with £2.25m having been spent in the past week alone. Has it been made clear what the objective of this buy-back really is? If it is to take as many shares as possible out of circulation and thereby increase EPS, then the time to have been spending £2m per week should have been back in November. Obviously easy to say with hindsight. Perhaps spend has been accelerated this week to act before any anticipated good news on Advair is announced ;-) | popper joe
24/1/2018 08:48 | Hi ord53 Will buy more if we get back to the low 90s payed off last time. And at this rate won't be long. Seller and if it is HMB seems to want out at any cost spike this morning was that buy back coming in ?? | pooroldboy55
24/1/2018 08:41 | Looks like seller wants sell and sell buying at this level just waste of shareholders funds | a1ord53
24/1/2018 08:31 | Just wondering where we would have finished if 700000 buy had not happened. In for another exciting day? | pooroldboy55
23/1/2018 20:04 | interest in the journo who wrote the GSK T/O piece, to be investigated. | chutes01
23/1/2018 18:19 | Maybe Vec were aware of the intention of HBM to offload some of its holding so the buyback my be just to facilitate this while limiting the impact on sp? | diesel
23/1/2018 16:54 | I would imagine any specific 'news' possibly driving the price down now, was not 'news' back in November when Vec announced the buyback. Clearly at least one large seller is persistently dumping stock onto the order book 8 hours day, 5 days a week and has done since that spike on the faux takeover story in December, Coincidences? Maybe, maybe not! | s1zematters
23/1/2018 16:47 | Yes but the board at VEC did instigate it fairly recently. | eastbourne1982
23/1/2018 16:38 | eastbourne, Vec have no say whatsoever in the purchase of it's shares or the timing until either May 11th or Numis have spent the £15 million Numis call the shots with the buy back not VEC! | s1zematters
23/1/2018 16:35 | F me. It really looks like this was just a plant so certain II's could divest some holding's. bloody awful! All imho of course. | dunderheed
23/1/2018 16:22 | If something was up why would VEC be buying large lumps of it's own shares. This is just a volatile share these days, it's moved around a spread of circa 40% in the last 6 - 8 weeks. Volatility is the norm now. | eastbourne1982
23/1/2018 16:21 | Still over £11 millions left from buyback. | blueflex2
23/1/2018 16:18 | Hikma up 3% so not Advair related? | fhmktg
23/1/2018 15:59 | If it's HBM Healthcare selling again and wanting out , then they have over 60 million left to dump. | s1zematters
23/1/2018 15:56 | At this rate won't be able to afford it!! Someone wants out big time wonder why. P's away again 19 February | pooroldboy55
23/1/2018 15:54 | incredible weakness yet again, let's see if it does the usual close below bid in close auction at day low again Looks like a Head and shoulders is also forming on the chart. Smells like something is up with the relentless seller/s on L2 now evident every day when added with the fake takeover stories obviously planted to assist the exit! . | s1zematters
23/1/2018 15:42 | You need to go on holiday again! | popper joe
23/1/2018 15:21 | This is going back below 100p this or next week. | pooroldboy55
23/1/2018 10:09 | Not really, pooroldboy, still a strong potential takeover target, mainly for its inhaler IP. CEO is no use though, with no real vision which explains why share price is lagging. aimo | cumnor
23/1/2018 10:02 | There was high volume yesterday, much more than the 300k that were bought back. Another large, 180k gone through about half an hour ago. | popper joe
23/1/2018 09:17 | Looks like yesterdays lift in price was down to share price buy back wondering where we would be without it. | pooroldboy55
22/1/2018 16:07 | didn't notice that RNS earlier.......I agree why sell now? | jopper74
22/1/2018 15:39 | There it is, the seller RNS appears as envisaged.I can not think of any particular good reasons or scenarios one can come to with regards this selling of circa 7 million shares by a major long term holder just before US news and in the mirth of alleged corporate action! The Daily Telegraph reporter is looking a tad like a snake oil salesman after this RNS.. | s1zematters
22/1/2018 14:16 | ...and so does the share selling. Can't believe HBM would be selling if there was a takeover in the offing. | alexchry |
