Nigelsome im sure this will come as no comfort to you but have invested heavily in vgm ascot and ngl.

Ascot and ngl are a 100% write off this one could well be to.
Such is life !

Yes agreed Vgm oculd be o p i guess must each make our own decisions and for now i stay.

Agree, Atlantic, but 0p is less! IF this fabled round of funding comes through then they probably will bounce and I'll feel stupid for selling at the bottom. But having lost a boatload in NGL I just couldn't feel confident of a recovery here. Anyway, hell's bells - I've found another tranche of these I'd forgotten about so not quite fully bailed as yet.

Yes, Elban was rather more of a sceptic than me when I reported my conversation with DP two years ago. He was proved rather too much of an optomist....and I was several magnitudes more optomistic than he.

That'll teach me to believe the chief exec in a face to face interview. FWIW the person I was with thought he was too shifty. Better judge than me, I'd say.

Well i am sure Chip will answer for himself!

For me prospects here look bleak!
However 15p is more than 10 p so for now i will hang around.

Those interims and the need for $40 million reveal that ELBAN was actually less negative than the reality proved.

They also make the last presentation forecasts look to be as unlikely as all their predecessors.

I wonder what chip thinks production will be over the coming quarters.

Does he still believe their forecasts?
Does he still think that improvements applied from February?

Remember those monthly update sheets on the website -- sustainable production from March????

Did they mean a sustainable 5k oz a quarter??

The latest interims confirm the previous approach.

1) Regularly 'leak' articles claiming they have hit the high grade ore.

2) Regularly produce production forecasts telling us they are months away from big production increases.

Then produce the results which confirm that we are as far away as ever from achieving anything tangible.

If they get funding there may be a bounce ( Not 40p Chinese in my opinion) however after that this looks very much like norsman gold mark 2

The interims make grim reading

Well, that's me done. Hard to take a decision to take a big loss in the chin but as I see it there was no other choice.

Nice to see KM putting his hand in his pocket. £14k of shares is all very well but I wonder what % of his salary that represents? And we also see that all he held prior to this moment of largesse that he only had about £5k. hardly inspires confidence...that was just 0.04% of the company. No great alignment with shareholder interests there, then.

Best of luck to remaining holders - I wish you well and hope you get rewarded for your patience. But for me this has become a one-way ticket to capital destruction.

Over and out!

Hi Atlantic - haven't posted for a long time. I first met up with DP at the MI conference two years ago. I can't think of a single thing that he told me that day which has come to pass. There was no need to raise any additional funds (heavily discounted placing announced days later), sugar plant was about 18 months away (might have missed it but saw no mention of that today). Ah yes...and that 100k oz: they had achieved record production as the development plan was being finished off...still a bit sporadic at the time, however. Yeah, right.

Last year he had the brazen cheek to ask me 'what flood?'

Kind of hard to imagine how you could better his performance over the last few years, seeing as the thing he produces is up about 50%. But production costs are up heading for 100%, actual production has fallen away. I suppose that the Marconi management did worse in that it went bust but then there is still time for that, eh?

Does this promise of funds at 15p look too good to be true? I'll sleep on it tonight and make my decision in the morning. Fortunately I offloaded the majority of these some time ago but the remaining rump will still hurt.

I wonder if Mark Twain ever met Mr Paxton?

Better stop before I say something I shouldn;t

I received an email from vgm tonight.

This message appeared at the top.

Be careful! This sender has failed our fraud detection checks.

I have read the interim statement .
So three years after promising us we were months away from 100 000 ounces a year.We are now told that we are 2 years away providing we raise 40 million dollars.

I am astonished that the guy has stayed in a job with such an apalling record of non delivery.

I guess th best case is likley to be a cheap takeover .You would need biblical faith to believe that Paxton can deliver.
