21/5/2013 12:00 | This week near 100% share price rise for Vatukoula Gold Mines was flagged not once but twice over the past month on a technical basis on ShareProphets. But the question is whether there is more to come? What is interesting about Vatukoula on the daily chart of that it is the way that while a turnaround seems to be imminent, as is normally the case with such setups, the exact timing and level can be problematic. You may wonder why it is worth pursuing such situations? The answer is the type of price action we have seen this week where the stock has effectively doubled overnight. Such a reaction is understandable given how much pent-up momentum can build up within the narrow confines of a wedge formation such as this stock has been sporting since the turn of the year. As well as the wedge formation the other major point to note technically speaking is the way that in the RSI window we were witnessing multiple support points on a falling trend line in place since October. The RSI trace leaving the trendline in April was the inspiration for the first buy recommendation in Vatukoula, while the likelihood of a break of the 20 day moving average being broken flagged a buy idea on May 11th at 7.5p. Even then the stock seemed reluctant to turnaround until the big fundamental event served up on May 20th. Going forward the first requirement for a sustained recovery, as opposed to the kind of flash in the pan spike characteristic of the minnows would be an end of day close above the 50 day moving average at 11.5p. Such a trigger would suggest that early March resistance at 17p plus is a realistic possibility over the next 4-6 weeks if the 50 day line is held. | chinese investor

21/5/2013 10:50 | johncraven read the RNS -- they HAVE invested NOTHING. They have not paid a single penny. read the Xintai RNS -- just the same. I will pay money next week is not the same as having paid money. Just look at the website ----- could a company that wanted to do business with them find out how to contact them, or even know what they actually supply??? That is a website that differs in many ways from that of all other companies --- it says 'we exist' - it does not give customers chance to buy anything or job hunters any idea of what is needed. It is like the template for a company website -- but does not fulfill the purpose of a company website. Face facts ---- could you think of any company of the size that company claims to be, that you would have any trouble showing for certain that it actually exists. DON'T IGNORE THE OBVIOUS! | augustusgloop

21/5/2013 09:45 | Johncraven 21 May'13 - 09:21 - 553 of 556 1 0 They HAVE invested a large amount at 15p regardless of the electronic footprint. They do feel at 15p there is big upside. That's what Zhongrun thought at 33p so don't assume too much. | michaelsadvfn

21/5/2013 09:33 | John Craven i agree with your post 553 subject only to waiting for confirmation That they get the money! | atlantic57
21/5/2013 09:21 | Its black and white though!!! They HAVE invested a large amount at 15p regardless of the electronic footprint. They do feel at 15p there is big upside. There is no other way to take this for a VGM perspecitive? | johncraven
21/5/2013 09:16 | johncraven, have you read the content on the other board? The bidding company looks like Xintai. The website contains no phone numbers, no job vacancies, no examples of actual projects, no names of personnel -- in fact it looks very dissimilar to the website of a genuine company. It lists many major companies as clients. An internet search reveals no links to any such deals -- the only hits now are for this deal with VGM. How could they generate business if nobody could get in touch with them? If you want to find the phone number of any large oil company - it is very simple -- but impossible here. They are supposed to be active in many countries - but have no eletronic footprint. All in all, it stinks to high heaven. | augustusgloop
21/5/2013 09:04 | atlantic, If the Placing is Successful (28 May) then we are looking at 40p Plus ! | chinese investor
21/5/2013 09:03 | it was fantastic news yesterday and puts to bed any claims of administration. The fact they were willing to pay so much over the odds identifies extremely good value and prospects here. | johncraven
21/5/2013 09:03 | 11.6 now chesty | olly2
21/5/2013 08:55 | Chinese investor, Given Paxtons's record failure would seem the odds on favorite. However i very much doubt that the Chinese would invest at 15 p with a target of 20p. | atlantic57
21/5/2013 08:46 | Tried emailing DRK - no reply yet. Also BP and Shell where I had immediate auto responses saying my inquiry is being dealt with but may take up to three days. | larboulois |
