Surprised that VGM haven't closed at at least 13p.

There were clearly doubts before the announcement - surely it must be nailed on now.

Who would hold yesterday and sell this afternoon at a lower price?
Strange behaviour - unless they know somthing that we don't.

DRK is clearly Zhongrun -- so it looks like a 15p takeout.

Todays announcement is very positive. It means they won't go bust in the next few weeks and unlike some of the previous announcements the lender has delivered!
If they can raise the money needed to develop the mine then that to is bullish.

mo7taram29 your standing as a financial guru and purveyor of facts is looking thin. Up 1p Tuesday, 0.75p yesterday and fell back in the last hour on Tuesday.

Like atlantic I'm curious about your Friday prediction. Today's 'positive' RNS doesn't seem to have cut much bacon.

"Should VGM enter into a debt financing package facilitated or introduced by DRK of no less than US$40 million within 120 days of the Subscription Agreement ("Debt Financing") DRK will have the option to acquire an additional 24,000,000 new ordinary shares in the Company (the "Option") at an exercise price of GBP0.15 per share.
If, however the Company secures the Debt Financing within the 120 days from institutions that it is currently in discussions with, the Option exercise price will be the lower of GBP0.25 or 90% of the five day trading volume weighted average price ("VWAP") following the announcement of the Debt Financing. These terms will also apply if no debt financing is secured within the 120 days, in which case the VWAP will be based on the 5 trading days after the expiry of the 120 day period."

Vatukoula Gold Mines Plc, announces that the Company has completed the first tranche of the placing announced on 20 May 2013.

On 20 May 2013 Vatukoula announced it had entered into a subscription agreement with SCD Energy Inc., ("the Subscriber"), which is an indirectly wholly owned subsidiary of DRK Energy Co., Limited ("DRK") whereby the Subscriber subscribed for 30,000,000 new ordinary shares in the Company at a price of GBP0.15 per share (the "Subscription Shares") to raise GBP4.5 million (the "Subscription Agreement").
The Subscription Shares will represent approximately 19.2% of the enlarged issued share capital of the Company.
The Subscription Agreement is to be completed via the issue of two equal tranches of 15,000,000 (GBP2.25 million). The first tranche is now completed and the second tranche will be completed by 17 June 2013.

The Company will apply for the first tranche shares to be admitted to AIM and admission is expected on 29 May.

maybe Orr-Ewing was privelidged to lead VGM during its development of a 'world class gold mine' but for the BOD it just looks to me more like owning a Ferrari and not being able to drive.

we need more changes and people who know what they are doing.

The same thing happenned in September - when another untraceable Hong Kong Company were about to buy 30% at 51p -- look the result of that was.

Gullible PIs got shafted -- insiders moved the share price up before hand and moved it back down before the deal was called off.
