CFO bought 40k sharesA small number in the grand scheme of things, but positive given his knowledge of the lending book |
There's a turn up, down to the low 40s on results, now higher than where they were on Friday... |
Well let’s hope for your sake your correct but given recent history and the decline in share price my comment is more than possible let’s face it this does seem cursed lol. |
123trev yes it's taken some time to sort but the ships afloat and the sail's are up with the added wind of the new ombudsman charging structure which is from where the big fall came from. Finally the ambulance chaser's will have to think carefully. It's your choice whether to invest but your statement at 5p per share does nothing for you |
intraday back at 54.7p. back to pretty much where it was pre-results release. there could well be an extremely bullish daily candlestick formation taking shape. if you like that sort of thing. it kinda looks like a dragonfly

Since 2023 Davious I have made six trades all successful here although one could have been calamitous luckily I made the right decision at the time so no losses and a healthy profit overall so not bitter at all. The problem here is and was emphasised early on when I made the same points you make here it looks good on paper but they always seem to be lurching from one disaster to another financially and nothing’s changed. |
I think some people should consider whether a post is worth making, lest they sound like an embittered former share holder who has lost money.
Still, there are some positives for those who prefer to look through fully open rather than blinkered eyes.
1) Tangible assets (i.e. ignoring goodwill or other intangibles) are 140p per share. 2) The bulk of the losses are due to goodwill write-downs. 3) Cash generation - over £250m increase in 2024. 3) Financial Ombudsman changes - fees of £250 per claim to be applied to professional claimants from 1st April to discourage claims with minimal chances of success.
This last point should have a significant impact on VANQ since it will both reduce fees paid to the Financial Ombudsman and costs involved in processing claims. |
Early on when I was buying this the thread was extremely quiet lol at the time I was prepared to believe in the new management and its strategy moving forward and did pretty well would I be so optimistic now absolutely not it seems like this train wreck can only get worse with those results best cease trading wind the book down and return 5p to shareholders because that’s certainly where this is heading. |
for the chartists amongst you, see what today's long tailed pin bar candlestick might imply. and analysts laugh your heads off |
one hell of a day can't believe this ended up less down than tesco and sainsburys after the start this morning IPF up around 6.5%! told you all to take a look at it! |
He likes divs after all !!! |
May be he sold this morning and bought Stb,Osb, and Pag !! |

More in optimism than belief! Just gone into auction... |
astonishing moves today so far. wonder if the declared short position has been closed? |
Shore Capital have reduced fair value from 110p to 90p reflecting delay to mid teens ROTE and possible motor finanxe commission issues. |

Indeed, there will be many in city IMO that will continue to see that metric & potential earnings 2026/27 as an opportunity. DYOR but I sense that is why the bounce is in there, slight disappointment yes without doubt, but all that is now history, market IMO will price it towards where they think this can still get to in the relatively near term.
DYOR, let's hope management can continue to deliver, but faster!! |
Closing tangible net asset value (TNAV) £359m
Market Cap £138m
Hmmm. |
How's that div doing Blackhorse ? |
Valuation is already super low IMO so a delay on bigger returns when digital platform is on track maybe offset each other in markets mind. Cost savings are massive & more to come market always likes to hear that. Will be interesting to see how well bought this gets on this bounce DYOR |
10% bounce off the lows, a bear trap perhaps. Would be hilarious if this finished blue. |
